In this episode, I mix it up and call multiple fans (including fans of the Celtics, Sixers, Nuggets, Blazers, Warriors - and even a Laker fan) to talk about all the news and rumors of the NBA trade deadline.  This was a fun one!

Lots of topics covered.  It was interesting to get some different perspectives.

I had quite a few fans pop on here including KG Living Legend and bdm860 from this forum.

How are you recording the guests? Sounds decent. Line in, with monitor on while wearing headphones?

Good to know I have fans  ;)

As always, good listen.  The more I hear all these regular fans talk about the NBA, the more I'm convinced the line between "professional analyst" and regular fan is small.  If you told me most of your guests were "NBA Analyst working for [insert reputable company here]" I'd believe you.

That one Philly fan though would be right at home with some of our fellow CelticsStrong members, upset about the Sixers trying to win now and would rather trade Butler for draft picks lol, that mentality is not isolated to here I see.

Nice mix of guests/topics from a variety of fan bases.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

yeah I would just record my computers audio and do calls, but I ran into some audio popping on the Eddie20 episode so now I’ve been taking my computer’s audio into a little sound recorder that I record on directly and listen with headphones.  Ideally it’s best to have the person record their audio separately and then send it to me to replace but I didn’t have time to bother with it for 10+ guests. There is a difference in audio depending on what method I used to cause the guest and what their audio setup is.  Some I record via google hangouts, sometimes through Facebook calls, sometimes through messenger just dialing their phone number.

I know I’m biased but that’s also been my main takeaway... just surprised at how knowledgeable everyone comes across that I’ve talked to so far.  I don’t do any pre-calls so I never know what to expect, but each time it’s been someone who I thought didn’t sound any less knowledgeable than people on talk radio, tv, or podcasts.  In-fact, id go as far as to say in most instances the people I’m talking to come across more knowledgeable ... maybe it has something to do with with them being hardcore fans that spend all day chatting about the team online - rather than being media personalities who went to school to be journalists or something and don’t necessarily have the same level of obsession with the league.

Again, I have a bias since I’ve hosted all of these, but it’s been kind of shocking to me how well this has worked so far.

I actually really like that 76ers take on his own team I don't like to move I think allenbrand is panicking a bit trying to make his Mark so to speak.

i really wasn’t expecting that guy to be miserable about the Tobias harris trade.  I thought that was hilarious that I was the one trying to talk positively about it while he hated it.
