Irving is just a jerk...time to move on - hope he leaves

I'm tired of the Irving Drama Show - his calling Lebron to apologize and basically putting down his young teammates and his changing story on whether or not he will stay with the Celtics.

As usual, it is ALL ABOUT HIM and his so-called future as he himself recently stated publicly. 

He has a right to do what he wants to do...I have a right to decide I've had it with his act.

The Celtics as constructed are never going to win an NBA title, which is why Irving is now hedging his bets.   

I would rather the Celtics trade Irving and end up with a team that wins 50 games a year even if that means they have virtually no chance to win an NBA title.  In fact, this team won't win the East either as it looks now.

I am just tired of ego maniac players - I hope KD, Irving, Davis, James and all the other superstars all end up on 1 team.   That would be fine with me but at least if that happened I could root for the underdog Celtics and enjoy doing it.

Good Riddance Kyrie...

It doesn't really matter what I think but the odds are apparently now in favor of Irving leaving the Celtics for greener pastures based on his comments and attitude.

What are you going to say about "the Celtics best player" when that happens????

I’m not part of the anti-Kyrie (or the Kyrie is bae) group, but he makes it easy to not believe in his commitment here.

Regardless of how he feels about the media or this new role he’s not accustomed to, he doesn’t handle it great.

IF there is any part of Ainge that feels he’s gonna leave, he should seriously contemplate moving him.

Just think about it: we trade Tatum and Brown for Davis before the draft, then Kyrie leaves, then Davis leaves the year after. We’d have no Kyrie, no Davis, no Tatum, no Brown. Maybe no Horford or Morris either.

Obviously extreme, but now conceivable. The fact that Davis doesn’t believe Kyrie will resign in Boston has to hold some weight. They are buds and I don’t think he would just use Kyries name to make his way to LA.

In my opinion calling our player a jerk and hoping he leaves is not a valid reason to make a thread and this adds nothing to the forum.

Agreed on Kyrie being a jerk.

Disagree on trading him because his trade value is awful right now because of his contract situation.

I don't hope he leaves (well at least not now or without compensation in the summer -- I would like him traded for a star I better like) but I wouldn't be that upset if he does. Because I have never warmed to him and because I think the team is still in awesome shape without him.

You fall for all the drama. Let's pretend that 99% of all these NBA multimillionaire players aren't "egomaniacs."

The only apprehension I have is his lack of trust concerning his teammates when closing out close games. Hopefully, it will come with time.
