The entire forum is invited to vote for up to three choices for who did best at the Mock Trade Deadline. Everyone who participated in the Mock Trade Deadline (and lurkers who watched) can then give the top vote-getter TPs for their victory. I hope I got all the details right. Not everyone sent me their teams. I will correct anything if you send it to me in a PM.

(teams not included either did nothing at the deadline or did not have a user)

Need more votes! Do a once over, but pay close attention to the "aggregate trade section" for each team to get an overview.

I'm not going to vote for myself but I am quite pleased with the Pistons trade.  Picked up a depressed value all-star, a good young but established wing with significant upside and a good pick.  Might end up with 3 starters out of it for next season depending on the pick.  Also, got off the last season of Blake's contract and stayed below the luxury tax even though they are less than 500k below it now.

I'm not going to vote for the Wizards.  It is to good to be true to get off the Wall and Mahinmi contracts without giving up multiple 1sts or taking on other bad contracts.

I'm going to vote for Charlotte.  Getting Dennis Smith Jr, and 2 future 1sts and getting off Batum's last contract year are very positive.  Losing Walker seems like a big hit but he's a free agent and I wouldn't want to pay him Max for 4 or 5 seasons.

I'm going to vote for Houston.  Get the better player and get off a bunch of future salary which is exactly what they should be doing.

I'm going to vote for the Nets.  Getting 3 1sts and getting off Crabbe's contract are all very positive.  Russell is a RFA and I think he's going to get a big offer that I wouldn't want to match.

Like what Washington, Indiana and Boston did.

Washington got rid of Wall. Can't really oversell how good this is for their future. Beal is a better player, younger and fits today's NBA better, plus he has a less concerning health history. D Murray also seems like a really good long term back-court companion for him.

Indiana got D'Angelo Russell, and now have 2 legitimate All-Stars in their back-court. Not bad at all. I think they can replace Bogdanovic's scoring down the track.

Boston, despite my personal thinking that getting rid of Hayward would be foolish, got Blake Griffin for him and JB (+ a 1st that is worse than we all expected). They're instantly thrust into title contention with adding Blake's 26/8/5.

I wish I'd been able to be more active, but I got swamped in real life and completely distracted by the real NBA. Apologies to anyone I haven't gotten back to on time, or if I've annoyed you otherwise!

Need a few more votes to help with tiebreakers.

First place is a tie between the Pacers and Wizards. At least look at those teams and select which you think did better.

Pacers
G: D.Russell, P.Mills, A.Holiday, E.Simner, V.Oladipo, C.Joseph, S.Hicks, D. Reed
W: D. McDermott, A.Crabbe, T. Young,
B: T. Leaf, K. O'Quinn, M. Turner, D. Sabonis
Added picks:
Lost picks: 2020 1st
Aggregate trades: Bogdonavic, Collison, Evans, Anigbogu, 1st, for Mills, Russell, Crabbe

Wizards Roster
G - Beal, Satoransky, Murray
W - Ariza, Walker IV, Green, McLemore, Brown
B - Giles, Bjelica, Randolph, Gasol, Bryant, Morris, Koufos
Added picks: 20 Det 2nd, 21 Mem 2nd
Lost picks:
Aggregate trades: Wall, Mahinmi, Porter, Howard for Murray, Walker, Koufus, McLemore, Giles, Bjelica, Randolph, Gasol, 2 2nds

I realize that I'm biased, but I'm kinda' surprised more people didn't like what my other teams did. The Hornets got two unprotected 1sts from the Mavs, unloaded Batum's awful contract, and got Smith Jr. as their point guard of the future, while getting Collison as a veteran replacement for Walker.

The Nets got 3 unprotected 1sts (two will be late firsts in 2019), Poetl, and got off of Crabbe's awful contract, opening space for two max contracts this off-season, while keep young assets and picks that could be used to facilitate trades. We traded Russell who is set for a big contract this off-season and committed to Dinwiddie. We got two first round picks and Poelt for Joe Harris. We also got off Crabbe's negative contract.

Well I felt if you want to rebuild like the 76ers then it looks good but it's not a well liked move to give up on good talent for mediocre picks and players. I'd think try to build/add to Walker and Russell get them one elite running mate to ball with. Those franchise need to see the light it's been years of disappointment those moves just added more years to it.

And I too felt disappointment I'm not getting the votes. I expected seeing more seeing I add an All star.

As a lurker, its hard for me to figure out who the players are without first names attached, especially where I have the assumption that many players may have switched teams.  Is the Murray on Washington Dejounte or Jamal?  There are 3 Anderson's in the NBA who all play forward, two Gasol brothers, more than a handful of Jones', etc.  Just some friendly advice going forward to make it easier for lurkers to vote, which I know are helpful in these games.

I guess I'm not a big believer in Russell. He's fine, but I don't think he has a game that translates well to winning in the playoffs. He can't get to the rim. He can't defend. Given that he is in the last year of his rookie contract, getting players that could fill in for his production (Bogdon and Evans) and getting a 1st, while also getting off of Crabbe's contract was good value I thought. For example, in real life, the Knicks just used Porzingis to get off of two contracts totaling double the size of Crabbe's, but they got a prospect, expirings, and two firsts back. Russell is no where near the player Porzingis is, but I thought the value I got was similar.

Good point. I didn't feel like going through and adding 100 first names to the rosters that posters had.
