At this point Dedmon's my top choice.

all things considered, I'd probably go with Jordan.
- fills a need in the frontcourt of defender and rebounder.
- could be signed at MLE rate and used as a legit asset for salary filler in an AD deal.

downside is he's a liability on offense, particularly the FT line although he's supposed to be better this year.

personally, I'd be surprised if he was actually bought out.

He's a huge liability on defense too this year. His lateral quickness to defend on the perimeter is quickly deteriorating.

shhh, don't tell NO - want them thinking he's a great addition to a trade package so that we don't need to include another young player we want to keep

Sorry if there is another thread about this (surely there must be) but I couldn’t find it.

What’s left and/or pending for the Celtics? Are there any worth while buyout candidates out there?

Any that can either aid us for the playoffs or as potential salary filler for trade?

Zach Randolph

-Used to not much playing time.
-Provides a type of game that our current front court lacks.
-Injury insurance for Baynes
-Not afraid to go at Boogie( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1BO44r2wX0 )

Don't think he's cooked, that Kings squad was loaded and developmental. Bring him in.

I think at this stage he’s arguably the worst defender in the whole NBA. J Okafor level bad

Are any more buyouts going to happen?

We saw a little flurry with Matthews, Kanter and Lin, but it seems like most other people are staying put. Is there going to be less buyouts this year because of the flattened lottery odds and more teams in playoff contention?

Was wondering this too.  Seems like nothing but tumbleweeds right now.  The deadline for playoff eligibility is still being released by March 1st, correct?  It appeared like common knowledge that D. Jordan would be bought out, but I haven't heard much on that front.

I think Ainge thought Frank Kaminsky would have been bought out by now.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I think the Knicks basically said they wouldn’t release him. I’m all for less buyouts in general thoughb

Ainge seemed a bit pessimistic about the potential of signing someone on the buyout market the other day when talking to Adam Himmelsbach.

Quote
Ainge on possibility of signing a player to a two-year deal with the intention of using the second year for salary matching in some *hypothetical* trade: “We’ve looked at all those possibilities, yeah. We’re just waiting to see. Nothing is in the works.”

Quote
New: I chatted with Danny Ainge about the Cs' open roster spot. "We looked at all the players that were in buyout situations...but a lot of guys are looking for commitments & promises to play, and we don't have minutes."

Ainge feels this team is good enough to make an NBA Finals appearance this year so no buyout candidates is what I'm getting.

This team looks like second-round exit to me this year. Too many 3rd quarter/second half meltdowns or no adjustments.
