Should Gordon Hayward spend some time in the G League to get his game back?

His minutes are not that productive at this point.  I think he is overthinking things as well. Let him have some time playing against lesser competition to get his confidence back.  Maybe all it takes is 2-3 games at the G League which can be a week or 10 days. And then we can have prime Gordon back.

What are your thoughts?

Wouldn't demoting Hayward to G-League shatter his confidence even more? G-League players aren't NBA caliber talents...

I think that it's a good idea, but is a PR nightmare and difficult to execute.

I dont know the G League schedule, maybe over the all-star break.

Or the front office can create some injury that Gordon needs to rehab from, and he spends a few games in Maine.

He is not doing much with his NBA minutes.  He needs minutes, lots of them, like 30+ a game.  He cannot get that on this team at this time.

He needs to be a number 1 option, and be told, shoot and drive at all costs.  Get his mojo back.

This would truly be the curse of Isaiah in overdrive.

No. He’s still considerably better than Semi, and is our best passer off the bench. Plus, it would be awful for his confidence
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I think another issue for Gordon is, he is having trouble finding his role on this team.

A. He was a number 1 option, clearly not the case right now; and

B. Unlike others he is buying into Coach Stevens system of finding the best shot/open man.  He is not looking for his shot first, perhaps to his own detriment.

Having a good game there means nothing for the NBA for that reason it is pointless.  I  also think it would make his fragile confidence even worse.

This is the sort of option that would have made sense when he was first coming back, but doesn't make sense now.

I think you're wasting your time here, man, you need to be writing for the Onion!!
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

No.
