Cites a source close to Pelicans that says the amount of disgruntled players on the C's is working against them

Chris Sheridan long ago lost whatever credibility he had.

All the clickbait reporters coming out of the woodwork. When’s Broussard’s turn?

But the fire seems to be in one place -- AD's agent, who clearly wants to steer him to the Lakers.

We heard the same stuff about Paul George and the Thunder.

Bingo. Some reporters do favors for agents and hope to get tipped in return. If I hear something from Woj, Charania, MacMullen, then I'll start to wonder.

Every GM and agent is going to take this opportunity to create controversy and run out to their close reporter friends.  It is their chance to give it to Ainge who has run over other front offices for a decade.

Yep, agent clearly doing a lot here. None of this surprising.

perhapsbut Bontemps just did a piece on frustration from some of the younger C's.  MacMullen just said Irving is frustrated and worried about his load.  There is a lot of smoke about discourse on the C's, which Rich Paul can then use to his advantage

When are people going to understand that what Davis thinks he wants with more than a year of contractual obligation is meaningless.

The only thing relevant is what is the best package New Orleans could expect to receive?

Which is why they’d be foolish to make any deal with The Lakers right now.

If Boston’s offer is roughly equivalent to the Laker offer, and you were the Pels GM, which team would you trade him to?

Rhetorical question.

And why would the Pelicans GM care about this? You know, the people who have the right to make the trade?

How is this an effective strategy when everyone in the NBA universe seems to acknowledge that this is just what happens and rarely any merit to the stories?  I get as fans we freak out and some are more eager to believe something just because someone took the time to write it down but shouldn't GM's just blow this kind of thing off?

That is a great question. They definitely should. If they don't have better sources than Bucher, they really should not be GMing.

MacMullan also laughed when she was asked if there was truth to the rumors Kyrie might not re-sign. She said this was pure Rich Paul.

Hmmm, perhaps if enough C-level NBA people provide enough anonymous "reports" about AD not wanting Boston they'll ultimately equate to one credible report from a respectable NBA source.

Isn't that how this works?
