What is the Under over on Gino time folks?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm excited about Jaylen. He's looking flat out dangerous out there.

Jaylen's Tony Allen 2.0.

A better version of Tony Allen and with a 3-point shot.

Tony Allen's handle makes Jaylen's look like Steph Curry...

If we assume Tatum's in a package, the next toughest decision is who to keep between Smart, Brown...  :(

It has to be Tatum + Smart or Horford.

Celts will not be able to match the 27m of AD if Smart or Horford is not included.

Even Brown + Tatum will not come close to matching the 27m of AD.

Hopefully it's going to be Horford and Tatum for AD.

I don't want Smart included in the trade for AD.

smart never was going to be in the package. i want to keep JT also

rozier and brown MAY be in package
First, Horford won't be included as he can opt out of his deal if he doesn't want to play in NO/leave Boston.

Second, My guess is will lose 2 of Brown, Smart and Tatum. Tatum is gone so I think Smart goes because Brown will be the better player long term so Ainge might prefer to keep him and because with his $12.5 million salary, the C's don't need to include even more players due to Brown only making $6.5 million

Horford can opt out or opt in before July 1.
The deadline for a player option is usually June 29 or June 30.

The trade for AD can only happen after July 1.

So if the Pels get Horford, that means he opted in.
But since Horford will know about the deal since before the draft, he can simply tell Danny if he tries to trade him to NO, and Al doesn't want to play in NO, he will simply opt out and sign somewhere else. Ainge is basically going to need Al's permission to include him in a deal and there is no way Horford wants to go play in obscurity in NOLA

I don't want Smart included in the trade for AD.

As important as Smart is to our identity and overall play, Al is just as important, if not even more important. Really need to keep him moving forward, especially if he'll opt out of his final year and give us a deal in exchange for a four year deal this summer.

For the salaries to match, either Horford or Smart must be included.

AD's salary for next season is 27m.
Without Horford's or Smart's contract, no way Celts come close to 27m.

Well, that ultimately depends on (a) whether Brown AND Tatum are included, (b) if Rozier would be willing to work out a sign and trade with NOLA, and (c) where our draft picks land.

If we end up getting a higher draft pick and pick for New Orleans, we can sign him, wait thirty days, and add that salary as part of the trade, which could get you approximately another $6M or so added to the deal.

Rozier's new deal will not be the basis for a sign and trade.
It will be his base salary.
That means even if Rozier's new contract is for 15m per year, he will not count as 15m in a sign and trade.

That's still $7.5M that we could add to the deal, which is a significant amount given our lack of those sized contracts that we want to trade. Add that to Tatum's $7.8M contract next year, and you already have $15.3M. If we get lucky and get a higher draft pick in the top 4, we could get close to the needed salary with just those three alone, always adding a Yabu to make up any difference.

If Jaylen was a good shooting ball handling tall Tony Allen that would be something but it's not a good comp...

The Tony Allen before the knee injury was very good.

Remember, Tony Allen suffered a season ending knee injury when he was with the Celts.
