This team lost to the Warriors, and loses to other teams, because it far too often plays a stupid game, whether it's for entire games or just stretches of time.

And doing things like putting everyone beyond the arc, when you're only down by 2 with seconds to go, is just one example of it.

When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.

Just watched the last 8 minutes of this game on NBA network.
Agree with initial post here that Celtics mass too many guys on the perimeter and leave the paint wide open. They shoot a 3, miss it, and then a Warriors guy drives down the court for an easy layup. Happened several times.

The Warriors have three guys who shoot the 3, and you know who they are. The Celtics have 10 guys who shoot the 3.

Other noticeable things: Kyrie keeps the ball too much--tries to do it all himself at times. He's the only guy who goes to the basket. Everybody else just hangs on the perimeter. Is that the coaching, or what?

The other thing is they lost the game when the missed foul shot by Green bounced right back to him. The Celtics had nobody big under the boards to make sure that didn't happen. They also had no answer to Cousins under the defensive boards at times. He out jumped everybody, and got an important offensive rebound near the end, jumping over everybody. Maybe that's why Ainge recalled Robert Williams after the game.

The Warriors have a better team than the Celtics. They play smarter, and their offense is more versatile. They get better shots.

The last foul they called on Horford against Durant he never touched him at all. He went right by him and resulted in 3 made free throws for Durant. Then the missed rebound after Green's free throw which resulted in a pass to Curry in which the NBA admits they missed a traveling call on Curry. Either the rebound or the travel call would have given the Celts the ball down 2. The phantom foul on Durant at the time was a killer.

Horford hit him on the left arm on the way up. Clear as day on the replay. And Horford acknowledged as such.  It was a foul.

I have no problem with the Kyrie-Horford 2 man game. They also went to Tatum a couple of times. Morris also got a shot off. Would you rather have Smart shoot the ball?! The only other option there is to have Brown in instead of Morris. Until we get Hayward back to farm, this is going to be the norm against teams with good D in crunchtime.

I know he fouled him on the one prior but the last call it showed nothing on replay. He never touched him. If he touched a hair on his arm I would be shocked and you just don't give someone 3 free throws for that. BS

He did touch him, but it was in no way or form a shooting foul. It should have been a rip through or whatever it's called. 2 shots if we were in the bonus or sie out. That changes the whole game
