To me, JR Smith is insignificant. He's played his way out of the league and he's a loser.

In a real fight, Smart would kill him.

I love Marcus but he should have handled the situation better.  I am not sure he deserved either technical foul but once he was ejected, you just need to accept it and leave the court.  Nothing good comes of charging around the court after.

As for JR Smith, I don't take anything he says seriously.  He was a decent NBA player and has a bank account that is huge I am sure.  Marcus should learn from all the mistakes that JR made.

JR Smith is one of the only basketball players I hate. Truly an idiot.

Smart has to be better. I know this is all part of the passion that makes him so valuable but he has to start maturing past these overreactions.

That said, with so many fake tough guys in the NBA, when you see Marcus Smart charge at someone you know he means business. That man is for real.

Marcus Smart has gone over the top a few times and I can’t condone those moments, but I’ll take the whole package and my guess is that there isn’t a team in the NBA that wouldn’t want him. 

Anyone who wants to praise his occasional inability to manage his emotions was probably praising Ron Artest’s behavior as well.  I don’t dispute that Smart lit a fire under the C’s last night but now he’ll likely be out for a game or 2 (or 3) and the next time he loses it he’ll be out longer.  May have been fortunate that Smart was restrained as he may have attacked a player and/or a ref and we’d be talking longer suspension.  Bottom line, Smart is very valuable to this team — he needs to be on the court every game which means he can be emotional but he can’t lose it like he did last night.
