I loved this kid when he came out but his shot never fell and he was a step slow on both ends. I'm glad he's getting a second chance....

Good! He's improved a lot. Very nice guy too.

Serious not sarcastic question -- what has he done to demonstrate improvement?
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Not going to lie, I was expecting to see 40%+ from 3%... so that is disappointing.

He's shooting 35% on 9 attempts per game in G League. Not bad for a fourth string guard. He is streaky but serviceable...

The .349 FTr rate is nice.   Doubtful it will translate to the NBA, though.

Still, no real harm in this move.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Welcome back king!   Haven't seen enough gorgeous looking jumpers that clang off the back of the rim this season.

Still skinny - you'd think he would have filled out some.  Listed at 6'5" 185.  That's slim.

Classic precurser to big trade signing.

Joking.

If that was in a Chinese game that'd be one thing but putting up monster stats like that in the G League show's some serious knack.

He's a Stevens guy. CBS recruited the [heck] out of him in high school to go to Butler and after drafting him and bringing him back on a two way it shows that he's never left Stevens radar. Good job staying available Hunter, keep it up.

This may be more about getting help for Dozier in the g-league than anything. Dozier has put up not really good numbers and has continued to develop confidence as a play-maker. I think he could be in the NBA next season.

34% from three is not horrible, especially considering the fact that he takes so many 25+ footers. That kind of shooting can be valuable because it stretches the floor even further. For example, Eric Gordon shoots 8 threes a game at 35%. He's not a great shooter, but his shots stretch the floor for the rest of the offense. CJ Miles is another guy who has a shooter reputation because he shoots so many long threes, but he is only at 36% for his career.

I always liked Hunter's potential as a guy who could make the occasional play with the ball in his hands too. His problem has always been that he gets stuck on screens on defense, which makes him a huge liability. I still think he could earn a spot on an NBA roster someday.

He's always reminded me a lot of present-day Nic Batum-lite - a defensive liability, inefficient, slow-footed, but could make the occasional offensive play and his length could help some on defense.
