I still feel that the Celts are aiming for a potential pick like Little.  A prospect that if he played another season of college ball , could shoot up the ranks in next season draft

If Little and a few other surprise picks happen prior to #14,  maybe someone like Reddish falls through the cracks

Which I'm cool with

Don’t get your hopes up about Redish dropping that far.

What do folks thing about this Darius Bazley kid?

He's coming right out of prep (Princeton High School, Cincinnati) so he'd be a dev project.   But he has very nice physicals, moves really well and has a nice, modern skill-based PF game.

Could see him as a Spurs-style high-upside late draft pick that you stash either in the G-League or Europe to develop.

Yeah Little reminds me of Jaylen Brown in that he was an elite prospect who didn't produce as expected in college. I think he'll be gone by 14 though.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Also I wouldn't discount two HS transition prospects Lecque and Darius Bazley  with one of the 20 picks

Bazley is a 6'9 , long forward that brings an intriguing package to the table.   He could be still growing

check out the clip below.  Impressive unselfish game and those finish around the basket

Bazley with a group of similar forwards like Clarke, Paschall are coming in for a workout  and scrimmage I assume
I'd forgotten about Bazley to be honest. He looks way more beefed up than when I last saw him, and he's not even 19 yet. Good signs

I've been scouring vids and reports on this kid a lot lately.  I think he's my late-draft binky for this year.

I really like his mobility and skill level.   A very modern game.  So many kids in HS are just "tallest player on the court".  But he looks very well rounded.

The obvious caveat is this is all based on internet vids.  And there is just not as much stuff to be found as with college and euro players.   Even the 'complete game highlights' vid I found on him was edited down.    It would be nice to get film of a complete game.

usually its those "natural skills" you take the risks on vs sweating the other details which could be perfected via practice and repeat

as long as the prospect has a good motor, decent iq and is willing to learn

Still I couldn't tell you, if Bazley is a "good" kid or not. And I agree, would like to see films of complete games more difficult than HS games

end of the day , I would still consider taking a risk for 20 or 22 and let him develop down in the G league

What about Kabengele?  Seems like  a good candidate to play 4/5 behind and with Horford?

I have never heard of someone hurting themselves this bad in a work out.

It might have happened if they had guys playing against each other?

Kabengele looks solid.  Almost certainly will have an NBA career.   Great length and very strong.  Can shoot from outside.   He's quite bit older (almost 22) than most of the kids in this draft.  That imposes a couple of strikes against him.  For one, it trims his perceived 'upside' since he's 2-3 years closer to his physical prime than most of the other kids.   For another, it raises questions about the meaning of his results in college this year, when he was often playing against younger, less physically developed and less experienced kids.

That's why some mocks have him going way down in the 2nd round while others have him going in the lottery!!!!!

I'm kind of hoping Danny goes long with at least a couple of his picks.   Follow the classic Spurs model of picking high upside picks that you stash in the G-League or Europe and just be patient.   I'm not expecting for any of our picks to immediately contribute anyway.

here is a prediction. not mine, but a prediction. i would not mind this outcome.

ESPN Mock Draft has the Celtics taking Brandon Clarke at #14, Mfiondu Kabengele at #20, and Ty Jerome at #22.

We should pick Goga Bitadze. Center with tremendous potential, playing for the same team Jokic played. This guy will be one of the best Centers in NBA. You will see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_B-rpvnRDs

Or he could be the next Zizic

How do you know for sure?

Not seeing much of a handle or 3 pt shooting

I think I've settled on Brandon Clarke as my guy at #14

I also really like Ty Jerome at #22
