I have a feelings it’s going to be Thybull to replace Smart.

Nope.

If ni kyrie there will be no Davis

Danny has built this team to go 1 of 2 directions.

Trade assets for disgruntled stars and build a team that way.
(Kyrie and davis)

Or

Stay competetive, maintain assets and build around top youth.(tatum, brown etc)

It is looking mire amd more like the secobd route and that is great. IMO probably the best route.

doesn't mean Thybulle still can't be a pick (2nd route you point out)

Thybulle is the type of defender both Danny and CBS like. He also has a working jump shot that could use a bit more reps. But his defense is fantastic/smothering

My picks revision 5 (more athletic, versatile and stronger defense)

14 - Little (but there is definitely a chance he is already drafted prior)

20 - Bazley - as per nbadraft.net - "Big time potential"

22-  Terrence Davis  -  did well at the nba combine. has a nba ready body.

51 - Josh Reaves -  another top calibre guard defender like Thybulle. Can shoot the 3.  Good chance available at 51

Celtics potential lineup next season

Staring combination
Horford
Tatum
Hayward
Brown
Smart
Rozier

Bench
Baynes
Williams
Semi
Little
Davis
Reaves

D-League development
Bazley

This is not true. There is definitely a possibility of Davis being here with no Kyrie. Also if going young is the route we are taking you are going to have to realize that Rozier will be your starting PG which will mean we have 1 too many wings. Smart will not be your starting PG next season I promise you that.

Also we won’t draft 3 rookies lol. Us going “young” doesn’t mean we are going to have a team full of 19 year olds lol. There is going to be a trade for a big regardless of what happens.

I still believe the Celts are picking for the Pels in this year's draft.
Yes.  Whoever the Pels want is the correct answer.

I believe Irving is gone no matter what.  I also believe Morris and Theis are gone no matter what.  I only see Rozier back if we trade for AD and include smart and if we can't get a starting caliber FA PG.  Kemba Walker is my first choice (if we trade for AD) but Rubio is a good option as he worked well with Hayward in Utah or Rondo who played well with AD in NO.

#14 - If we trade for AD then I see #14 going to NO.  If we don't trade for AD we will really need a Big, so I'd take Mfiondu Kabengele, Bol Bol, or Goga Bitadze in that order.

I don't see Mfiondu Kabengele, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Bol Bol, or Goga Bitadze making it to #20.

#20 - Matisse Thybulle - supposedly he has a promise from both Boston and OKC, who picks 21st.
Nassir Little reminds me of Stanley Johnson and Justise Winslow, yeah Ainge wanted to trade all kinds of picks for Winslow but he had latter said he's glad he didn't.  I don't see Little as the pick.  I could also see them taking Romeo Langford and letting Thybulle go to OKC.

#22 - Ty Jerome - even if we get a vet PG, we'll need a back up and I think Ty Jerome can play right away much the same way as Jalen Brunson did for Dallas.

#51 - Ignas Brazdeikis - he reminds me of Bojan Bogdanović and he turned out to be a solid rotational player in Brooklyn and developed into a really really good player for the Pacers.

When/if Kyrie leaves we still won't have any cap room, so Kemba is not even remotely a possibility. And Rubio and Hayward didn't work in Utah because they were never teammates. Rubio joined the team the same summer Gordon signed with Boston.

If he's within range, I do hope Danny likes Kevin Porter, Jr.

That level of athleticism and skill is very intriguing.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

Im not sure about 10-20 -30 -40 years back....teams aways took risks , but there were a group of about 6 teams that always had the best players.   Now ...drastic measures are called for to land a Franchise player ....the Philly super tank etc....the Kawhi risk , even Irving ,  Lakers taking Lebron , CP3 contract .

Players like Davis are rare , Danny may never even have another opportunity to get such a player ...buy , sell trade ,or draft in his life time.  The celtics could wander and get stuck for another 30 years with Hornets like basketball ...easy.

Todays NBA ...there is no such thing as tommorrow ,   you gotta go for it .....win loose or draw .....you fork over everything .....if you don't ...somebody else will   .

Poor kids ... the guys that Danny will target with the 3 first rounders face steep odds that their nba careers won’t be long lived. I predict 2 RJ hunters type and one player that might be intriguing.
Here is your Sunday dose of pessimism  ;D

If Celts draft Little then the Celts will have Tatum, Brown, Hayward, and Little playing SF or SG.

It would be the same problem last season, too many of the same kind.

Danny doesn't draft like that

its about trying to better his draft position by trying to "cheat/gamble"

he did it with Avery Bradley, Gerald Green, Rozier and unfortunately James Young, Kedrick Brown, Yabusele.

Little had an ok freshman year.... but he could either explode in year 2 (top 5-10 prospect in 2020 draft) or improve just only a little (risk doesn't pay off).  He was the mvp in the all mcdonalds HS game and overall package does scream top 10 type talent

I bet Ainge takes the gamble

Think of it this way also.  If Little ends up blossoming, he could be insurance in case Tatum or Brown walks or one is traded.  On the flipside, Little could be traded for a proven vet

If that cycle continues then the Celts will never become contenders.

The time to develop players has come and gone.
Celts already invested big money in Horford and Hayward.
Hoping draft picks will blossom is for rebuilding teams, Celts are in win now mode.

Under that line of thought, Brandon Clarke makes the most sense.  He is more experienced, and could fulfill a need right away. I just don't like his upside.

I agree on his athleticism. The issue I have is that he has a reputation of just standing around if he doesn't have the ball. Kyrie redux.  Don't know if he can be retrained on that bad habit.

Watched many more games of Clarke and getting a little cold feet

If he had a proven 3 point shot.... would translate as a 3 and D forward like Moute or Ariza

I would be happy with little

He is like another Jaylen Brown give or take

Even a little more aggressive around the basket to grab rebounds.

I like him and his two way game/potential
