I don't know what happened to Theis but he was a negative in his 6 minutes of play. I don't know if we should move Yabu ahead of Theis in the rotation, but he have shown that he can be productive at times. Even during his 4 minutes of play in the Rockets loss, he was playing with energy and positive overall.

I am not a big Yabu fan, but he played really well tonight. We need a big body in the middle, that is for sure.

Yabu hungry! In a “I wanna play ball!” Way, Not a “I wanna Big Mac!” Way.

I think it will depend on the situation and the opposing lineup. They needed a big body to keep Gasol out of the paint. Theis just doesn’t have the mass to stop Gasol posting him up. But Theis is effective against other teams.

In any case, making rotation decisions on the basis of one game strikes me as a bit knee jerk but it’s clear Yabu has a situational role to play for this team.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Agreed. He probably would have helped against Detroit a couple weeks ago for similar reasons.

These know Timelord made an impact when he got in there, this being their job, they are going to play hard now he is out.  I think Yabu needs to be more physical because he is our best matchup right now against big heavy guys that are bullying Theis and Horford at times  like Gasol did for a period. Sometimes you need a wall of flesh.

But he like many of our guys lack consistency on a day to day basis.

I still think we could have got a better player in that draft.  For instance Malcolm Brogdon was later at 36.   Hindsight is 20/20 I know but....

He definitely bought himself a ton of minutes until Baynes is back.

Side note, Yabu shot .367 from three in Maine last year over 14 games. He actually has really nice form. Look forward to seeing more of him.

Side note to the previous side note.  The Celtics have never lost a game where Yabu has played more than 30 minutes.

I'm also no a Yabu fan, but tonight he did what he needs to do and that's play physical, use that big body besides shooting 3's. He needs to get under the boards more and move some people around.

He earned some more minutes for sure.

Wait for Ainge to praise him. Then we'll know he's about to get traded.

He said he was dead tired just playing those 16 minutes last night.

I like his energy, and he seems to be a plus on the boards, but wish he would attack more to the hoop; when he does, he seems to finish at a very high rate. If he were able to hit his 3 with more consistency, of which he is capable, he would be able to attack more. See him do this a lot in G League and Summer League.

Yabusele has made it into the Celtics lineup of late. His play has been, in a word, brilliant.

I want everyone at the forum here to mark this date as the...

Dawn of the Yabusele era,

In all seriousness, this guy can hit threes, he, however, is limited in hops and his handle, well, he doesn't have one. He has bulk and a desire to do well, which is just about right for a third string center.

Australia
Germany
France

We await the return of Bob, who will put a fourth country onto that list...Louisiana.

I have no problem with him except for his stupid hair. Looks like a [dang] fool!
