No centers, no rebounds.

No Baynes or Timelord tonight, and Al was on a minutes restriction.

Why no Williams?

We need Baynes back. Against teams with mobile, stretch bigs Theis is great. Against teams with bruising, rebounding bigs we need Baynes. Didn't help that Williams was out.

I hear Jared Sullinger wants a shot at doing the dirty work rebounding for the celtics. Cut Jabari Bird and give Sully a call.

Last year, Sullinger averaged 30.1 points and a league-best 16.6 rebounds per game in his first year playing in China. He resigned with his team there this year.

I miss old Sully. Those 2 years of 13/8/2 from 2013-2015 were fun, if a little infuriating. He's obviously got NBA talent

I think he just needs to be surrounded with a solid and stronger core than his 2013-2016 days. Who did he play with during his tenure with the Celtics? Aging PP34/KG? Evan Turner? Kelly Olynyk? Amir Johnson? Avery Bradley & Isaiah Thomas? Rajon Rondo one-foot out the door?

I remember he racked up 20 rebounds against the Pelicans. I honestly thought he became a mini-Kevin Love, and could have the potential to be better than Love. Honestly, Jabari Bird's (or Yabusele) space is being wasted right now so just put it to good use and pick him up.

Feels like Theis did a lot of damage to his stock tonight.

I think he could thrive in a bench role here tbh. As long as his body held up of course.

He's shown 100x more NBA ability than both Bird and Yabu (although he can't dance and cheerlead quite like Yabu), but I'm not sure if he wants to come back to the NBA, or do the work required.

.
Theis had a tough game, but he puts up very good numbers for a third-string center. His numbers are actually better than Baynes, but Baynes definitely has a bigger presence in the lane and more beef and the willingness to use it against smart-ass small players going to the hoop. I suspect he sets more jarring picks too.

I don't think a single game will hurt any player's value in FA market. He's been pretty solid for a third-string center. Though he got exposed against an athletic C like Capela.

Oh, man, some are invoking Sully.

Now that I saw his current shape, I might really consider it. He look much more leaner now than he was in the NBA. His biggest enemy in his NBA career was his conditioning and lack of discipline.
