These kind of fans who quickly label players so early in their careers (esp one as young as Brown) should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of supporting players through whatever they are going through, they destroy them and add to their burden
It is his job to basketball and play it well. This is not biddy ball.
There's a mountain of evidence that suggests that professional athletes are human beings. Some come into their respective league as tough as nails; others don't. And... then there are those who grow stronger as they age. Sorta like everyone else.
I doubt Jaylen needs coddling, but it's not unreasonable to suggest that patience might help. I guarantee that Danny and Brad understand that different players need different types of support to maximize their output. I think this was as true in Red's day as it is today. I guarantee that Red rode guys who he knew needed to be ridden, and pushed others in different ways when needed. I think that is what great leaders/coaches do. Even as "my way" as it seems Belichick is, I'll bet he differentiates the way he approaches his players as he gets to know what motivates v. what mitigates their top performance.
Bottom line though is that talented NBA players need to show that they can respond to the coaching and motivational support they receive. Some need external motivators, some don't. Hopefully, Brad can provide what Jaylen needs from him.
