These kind of fans who quickly label players so early in their careers (esp one as young as Brown) should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of supporting players through whatever they are going through, they destroy them and add to their burden
It is his job to basketball and play it well. This is not biddy ball.
Pierce had his down moments early in his career, remember the bandages and everything? If you think that players stay the same, and during their down times you cannot support them, you do not deserve to share their glory when they get over it.
PP bounced back, and showed resiliency.
I think he needs to do better but I am not in the trade him now crowd. His regression is disappointing. But fans have a right, to be critical of him and it is part of free speech. It he can't take that he does not belong in the NBA. I just wish he would play to his strengths and use his abilities which is to go to the hole and slash. Nothing is more frustrating when you see a guy not use his talents well.
Fans should be able to support their team through their struggles, not only there during glory. That is not fandom, that is bandwagon. Basketball players are people too, and like ordinary people, they mess up on their jobs as well. Only entitled persons think that basketball players should be perfect. Lebron, Durant, Curry- these players go through rough stretches and bad decisions as well, what more less talented and younger players like Brown?
PP bounced back and showed resiliency? That's the whole point! If you just stop to actually think, that is what I am driving at. People get down, but that doesnt mean that's where they will stay. Pierce is the perfect example. Just because you have your down moments doesnt mean it will define you forever!
