Is this just going to be a wasted year for Hayward? He just seems so passive and timid on the court. Passes up shots. Does not look to attack. He needs to get this mental block taken care of because he is too good a player and too important to just be a ball mover.

Need to come out firing in the 2nd half. Baby steps. Cut it to 12. Then 10. And keep going until hopefully the 4th and make it close.
I remember those Allen/Pierce games where we'd be down 20 and it would be even after a 2 minute stretch of mad Garnett D, Rondo steals...

If the Bucks keep shooting like they are it's going to be impossible to win. The Celtics just have to keep chipping away!

Snell and Maker 7-8 for 19 points in a combined 16 minutes. 5-6 from 3.

They made some difficult shots, you’d have to think those would stop falling in the 2nds quarter as the law of averages catches up. I’m more concerned with the easy layups the bucks got in the 2nd quarter they need to defend the paint better and rebound harder to stop those transition opportunities.

Watching on a bit of a delay and just caught up to live tv, but that was such a frustrating start. Start off with great energy on both sides of the ball, and Bud calls a timeout when it’s 10-1 Boston.

The Bucks subsequently come out on a 16-0 run and Brad simply refused to call a timeout or do anything to change the momentum, which set the tone for the rest of the half.

That kind of crap is so frustrating by Brad. That’s simple in-game management that can have drastic impacts on the game, yet he consistently fails to make the right call in those instances.

Other than that, seems to be same old, same old Celtics - inconsistent and overreliant on the three point shot. Rozier is just God-awful and actively hurting the team while on the court; can’t wait until he’s someone else’s problem. Brown at least showing signs of life again.

I said the same thing.  I mean obviously the team's struggles aren't entirely on Brad, but it's one thing for the Bucks to go on a 8-0 run, then call a TO, and the Bucks go on another 8-0 run rather than straight 16-0 without a TO.  Sometimes the players just don't have it.  But at least try to intervene, especially if we were having severe defensive breakdowns and stagnant offense while the run is happening.  In that context, letting the score go from 1-10 to 17-10 was unacceptable.  Should have called a TO when the score 9-10.

This is going to be a "this player sucks", "that player sucks", "Stevens sucks", "this team sucks" and "this team sucked last year and the year before that and the year before that" type of thread so I am out.

Enjoy the negativity....I mean the game...CSers

Not a bad half all things considered.  Good to see us keep it under 20 against one of the top 4 teams in the East.

I agree with a bunch of your criticism on Brad when he waits for a TV timeout rather than call it early, but within the first 6 minutes of the game, I have no problem with letting the team play through rough spots. If you are a smart coach, you are not wasting a bunch of time outs in the first 5-8 minutes of the game.

But there were definitely times in that second quarter when Milwaukee pushed it over 20 that Stevens needed to get a TO and make some changes.

They only outscored us by 4 points 30-26 in the fer all that, if we can really clamp down on interior defense and make a few shots and cut down to single digits we are right back in it. All starts on the defensive end and on the defensive boards.

Tough rim defense by the Bucks.  Yikes.

And miss.

Good take by Gordon just now though

Such a BS call and that bald referee was right in position to have seen Giannis push off Smart. That’s a superstar call right there

Lol Giannis is so babied by the refs. He initiates just as much if not more contact as he receives.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
