The 76ers would love to unload Markelle. Would he be worth taking a chance on if we could replace him using Jabari Bird's roster spot?

Doubt we could trade Bird given his current status. If we could, is this idea as bad as it sounds or does anyone think it might be worth the gamble?

We’d have to give up salary to make it work.

Which means we would have to give up good players (we don’t have bad contracts) to make it work, which we won’t want to give Philly.

Doubt Philly would do a straight salary dump just yet.

It’s as bad as it sounds.

There's no evidence the Sixers are looking to trade Fultz yet.  They've had better bad offers than what you're proposing.

Fultz is a bust. And the Sixers screwed up bigtime.

No team will be taking on that contract.

DA worked him out and got an up close and personal look.  I understand if he deemed Tatum superior, but if he wanted to make a lowball offer in the next 18 months I'd be fine with it.

We already superbly dodged the Fultz bullet once. Let's not purposely lodge it into our gut.

Would love to go back and read all the posts about Fultz pairing up with IT as our future backcourt.

Things sure can change fast in the NBA.

The Philadelphia apologists on here have got their work cut out for them with this guy.

I await the positive, pro-76ers spin.

He's cost-controlled - but, having gone #1, his salary this year is 8.3+ million, and next year it's 9.5+ million.  That's a big leap of faith. He'd be the fifth-highest-paid player on the Celtics.

I don't believe in him. I believe in his talent but not in his character; I don't believe in his knees, and now his shoulder is also in doubt.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Hard to tell your Mom to back off and take a chill pill.  The Drew Hanlin/Fultz split was also reportedly because of her.

Fultz was more or less the consensus #1 pick.  I wouldn’t say screwed up exactly.  What’s happened isn’t something anyone could have predicted.
