I want to see Kyrie, Smart, Morris, Hayward, and Horford.

The vets.

There is a lot analytics that say Hayward and Brown don't play well together, yet.  So I'm not sure if a second unit with them both on the floor is the right move.  Some of Jaylen's poor shooting I think can be attributed to lingering issues with his back, but I also think there is some uncertainty in his role when he shares the floor with Hayward.

I like Morris and he's playing well but I think he will regress to the mean eventually. Hopefully when that happens Hayward will have his legs under him and the Celtics can start:

Kyrie
Smart
Tatum
Hayward
Horford

With Brown or Morris first off the bench depending on match up. Morris off the bench also gives the second unit an "enforcer" rather than having our 2 most physical players (Smart and Morris) in the starting line up together.
Brown and Hayward in theory should complement each other very well , one is athletic but low BBall IQ, no moves and need others to create for him, the other is the opposite

At this point in their career's I never like both Tatum and Brown on the floor at the same time.

I would like to in the nicest way possible say, did you watch last year's team?
Brown choked in the biggest game of his life while Tatum thrived that's what i remember

Yeah, Brown and Rozier were putrid in game 7 of the ECFs last year.

Yeah, Brown and Rozier were putrid in game 7 of the ECFs last year.
And were both outstanding in game 6. If anyone else came to play in game 6, the next game would have been game 1 of the Finals instead of game 7.

The point is you can perform poorly at other games because everyone have off nights, but how are you going to react when your back is on the wall , it's a make or miss league and it';s a extremely important trait of how are you going to pull it off when you absolutely can't mess up

The incompetence of the East peaked last year. The Cavs were in the finals and were crushed by Golden State. The truth is several other teams could have beaten the Cavs from the West too.
The East has improved this year. The Bucks, Toronto, Philly are all much improved.

Decent play just won't cut it this year.

I don't think of Brown as being low BBIQ, maybe he isn't  the most cerebral player  on offense but there's  no way to be as good defensively  as he is without some BBIQ. Prior  to his injury Hayward wasn't unathletic.  I think Hayward will regain most if not all of his prior athleticism. If you consider Paul George's injury a comp, he hasn't seemed to lose his and I do see why Hayward can't  have a similar recovery.

Celtics have two quality NBA starting teams time for the coach to realize this, and coach like it.

I don't think it's the coach that needs to realize this - it's the players who could easily start but are on the bench. They need to realize that it's not a slight on their ability, it's what's best for the team.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Jaylen's defense has not been so hot either. The biggest reason for our improvement is Smart's defense next to Kyrie. Brown was getting lit up by almost every opposing two guard.

For a guy who is supposed to be a great defender, he jumps for almost every upfake, jumps at non-shooters during their jump shots and puts them at the line, and runs too hard at guards on the perimeter, letting them blow by him.

You are confused.  I was referring to a whole season where they won 55 games with them playing together and the post season where we won 11 games with them playing together.

Why on earth after that season would anyone ever say that JB and JT can't be on the court at the same time?  It isn't supported by the facts at all.  It is like the most whiny, take everything out of context, unsupported comment I have ever seen about Brown and Tatum.

You switching the goalposts to some crap comment trying to blame Brown for us not getting to the finals is idiocy.

I would prefer to start brown and bring smart and Hayward off the bench.  In addition, I would prefe it if rosier was on another team.

And the point that the other side is making is you can nip it in the bud instead of sabotaging your own situation and being forced to react with your backs against the wall.

I really like what the Marcus’ are bringing to start games.

Hayward is finding his groove, and I think Brown can work nicely next to him with Rozier and Baynes (and probably one other starter, or Theis).

Still early and a lot to figure out yet, but getting Hayward back to himself is going to get this team rolling. He’s that good, and eventually will be starting again.
