Free-agent NBA center Kendrick Perkins spoke with Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe on Wednesday and expressed his interest in returning to the league, with the Boston Celtics being one of the teams he has in mind:

If we had a spot for him, why not?

When Perk was last in BOS he was paired with an Elite defensive Big in KG...

Now? He'd have yet ANOTHER very good defensive Big in Al..

At the very least he'd add more toughness and seems to be a great teammate. He's already been in the trenches.

He is forever a part of former Celtics Coach Glenn "Doc" Rivers' Starting Five that NEVER lost a series..

Loved Perk in Green. Let's see if anything opens up for him.
