They have to start planning on a legitimate Gorman replacement. Scal replacing Tommy is ok, but you need someone like Gorman to balance him out or else it’s a disaster. Scal goes off the rails when he’s calling the games with Draper.

We need to clone Mike Gorman. Check with the Chinese on this.

Since we lost Red, is Tommy the only Celtic who has been with the team in some capacity from the mid-50's to now ? (putting aside the CBS years, when he was still around to some extent)

Tommy is an institution. The Celtics should have a big ceremony to honor him for his lifetime achievements and service to the organization while he's still able to enjoy it.

Me too. She really knows her stuff and is an excellent TV commentator.

She's good- and it's obvious that she does her homework and studies the game and the league.  I don't care whether a broadcaster is male or female if they do a decent job - which usually involves enhancing your viewing experience - telling you something you don't know.  So many of these analysts are just lazy and think they can get by on their name and personality. 

One thing I will say about Scal is he does pay attention to what's going on around the league.

Yes, please do this.  He deserves it.  In addition to a fabulous career as a player, coach and commentator, Tommy readily took up the mantle of built-in "green bias" from Johnny Most, the greatest play-by-play announcer of all time.  Some of you don't know who that is.

Without looking, I'd say the 2nd longest is actually Mike Gorman.

Draper has definitely improved a lot. He was pretty bad last season when he filled in it was like he was nervous and couldn’t keep up with he play. Now he’s more relaxed and not trying to be as much like Mike (who talks quite quickly). Mike and Tommy are still my favorite commentator pairing but Kyle and Scal have done a good job on this road trip.

Poor Kyle...he got caught up in what Scal was saying a couple games ago....and looked like he was staring at him. Scal noticed, then zapped him saying something like, "what are you looking at". An off-guard Kyle was totally embarrassed, I think he wanted to hide under the table.

I totally agree. This would be a very nice gesture for a man who truly deserves it.
