Story on ESPN: Rick Pitino hires agent, wants chance to become NBA coaching candidate. “I want to develop teams and develop players and build a winner. I want to fit into an organization. At this stage, that’s all I’m interested in.”

A firm timetable on Kevin Love's return from injury is not expected before Monday or Tuesday but among the options Cleveland is considering, league sources say, is a longer-term period of rest for Love as his deals with persistent foot soreness

Love missed most of Cleveland's exhibition season and is still dealing with the foot issue, so an extended absence is a possibility unless the Cavaliers can determine a speedier treatment course

Sounds like they are open to shutting him down and tanking.

Saying the Cavs are open to tanking is like me saying I'm open to losing my hair. It's happening and my opinion about it really doesn't matter.

Cue the "Lebron ain't walking through that door" quotes.

Looks like the city of Cleveland going through an overhaul it appears.

Browns just fired Hue Jackson a day after Tyron Lue with the Cavs lol

Let's face it, Lue was a figurehead that followed LeBron's rules. nice guy but far from a good coach. He will probably end up back on Doc's bench as an assistant but not a bad way to get fired with 15 mill in your pocket and a terrible team to try to fix.

If we didn't have Cora, I would be hoping for a Terry Franconia firing and return to Boston

Do cavs fans want them to tank or not? With their pick protection could be brutal to finish 9th or 10th

my coworkers generally would like them to win and not tank, but certainly missing the playoffs and losing their pick would not be a good end result

How could a fan not want Hue Jackson fired though, he has the worst head coaching winning percentage ever.   He also had personality conflicts with Todd Haley their OC.

Cavs fans I talk to, in Cincinnati, really don't care and are fair weather fans.   After Lebron left they lost interest.   I know a handful that are true fans, and they realize it is going to be a long haul.

Living in Ohio and being a Celtic Fan, I think it would be a great result.  I hate the Cavs, always have always will.  But I hate every team not the Celtics.

In the last week the Cavs: fired their coach, fought with assistant over becoming interim, had JR Smith ask for a trade, landed 2022 All-Star Game, had Kevin Love go down for 6 weeks with surgery, got sued by a former coach & then flamed the former coach & his lawyer

Cavaliers say forward Kevin Love had surgery today to address continued left foot symptoms. He will now undergo an extended period of treatment and rehabilitation, with the timeline for his return to basketball activity updated in approximately six weeks.
