He chose Larry Bird to present him even his sons insisted to choose Shaq, but he said yesterday: I adore my sons but once a Celtic, always a Celtic!

Good news. He had a polished offensive game.

Also, found this on Wikipedia:

Quote
I went to Pitino and asked him if I fit into his plans. With a new coach, I obviously wanted to know what he thought of my game. I loved playing for Boston and just wanted to find out if there was any possibility I might be traded, because I had heard some rumours. Pitino looked me right in the eyes and said, 'Dino, don't worry. You're going to be a big part of our offense. When we run a set play, the ball is going to go through you.' I left the meeting feeling great. Five days later, I found out I was being traded to Philadelphia. I can't tell you how much I felt betrayed. Either Pitino lied or something changed in a matter of a few days.

[I was about to write something bad about Pitino, and then I thought it might cause unsavoury comments about our present GM.] Still, it's good to know Radja wanted to remain a Celtic and liked the team.

Only if you think Basketball HOF only means NBA/Murica.

The NBAToday show on Sirius with Eddie Johnson and Justin Termine had Adam Silver on a few months back and they called out the HOF and how there should be two, one Basketball (existing) and one solely for NBA. Their claim was that the baseketball hall of fame was fairly diluted at this point.
Long story short, Adam Silver had no interest in humoring a 'NBA Only' HOF.

I thought it was the FIBA HoF until I read your comment. In terms of pure talent you are right, Radja would not have entered if he were American. Still, it's nice to get some variety in terms of nationalities.

There are more deserving Croats (Kukoč easily), let alone Europeans to enter this HOF. But his career must be evaluated as a whole, not just 4 NBA injury related seasons. 2 Olympic silvers (88, 92) World bronze (94), 2 Euro golds (89,91) 3 bronze (87, 93, 95), 2 Euro club titles (89, MVP 90), U-18 WC gold, also his salary was paid more than Maradona or Jordan at the time (91, 92)
I don't respect HOF choices as much, but he undoubtedly had an extremely productive career.

Sure, also the court conflict he had with Jugoplastika, historically speaking, he was part of a great change in the relation between European basketball and the NBA.

His HOF entry is in category of European players in NBA history. That doesn't seem questionable. In a matters of whole NBA history, yes I agree he would not deserve to be a part of.

Hopefully Shane Larkin will make it someday too.  He played in Europe didn't he?

Kukoc is still not in the HOF? Wow.

Congrats to Dino though, his NBA career wasn't much but a true legend overseas.
