Magic given credit for acquiring LeBron and possibly Kawhi

So LeBron - already planning on life after NBA - deciced to sign with Los Angeles, a place he already owns two houses.

Kawhi already said he wants to be a Laker.... this happening before LeBron committing to LAL.

....and yet the Media is giving Magic all the credit.

Ainge rebuilds the Celtics basically from out of the ashes.  No GM of the year.

Like Charles Barkley said -  getting LeBron or Kawhi is the easy part.  You don’t have to sell them anything.  Is a freebie!

I think there's a big reason he signed a 4 year contract instead of his usual. He trusts the ownership and GM unlike Gilbert.

I think its because he already lives in LA, wants to stay there anyway, and is getting old. Years 3 and 4 of that deal are going to be tough for LA.

Jeanie Buss deserves a lot of the credit for getting rid of her bungling brother and Kupchak.  If they were still in charge, Lebron most likely wouldn't have come.

Heard the following give Magic credit:
Rachel Nichols, Ramona, Cowherd Winhorst.....to name a few.

LA mainstream media fluff.

I have yet to see any respected analysts give credit to Magic and not credit Ainge for the amazing job he's done with the Celtics.

I always expect the mainstream fluff media to overhype whatever they can sell, and ignore the Celtics. That's always been the status quo.

They all may as well work for MSNBC or CNN.  They would fit right in with there terrible opinionated rants and " sucking up" instead of reporting facts. Not giving Ainge and the Celtics credit is the same as not giving Trump credit.  It is BS!!

I think he took a 4 year deal because he's getting old and that last 18 months of that contract aren't going to look that good for LA!

If that is the case, that he would rather be the man to lead his own team to the finals instead of part of a super team, especially with Lebron, then he should just stay in San Antonio and take the super max.

You guys are missing the point. This contract has no trade clause. He could theoretically be traded to the kings in his 3rd year. To sign this kind of a deal requires trust.

As much as I would like to believe Leonard would prefer to compete against Lebron I don't buy this article. Seems like posturing
