From a quick search:
Westbrook
Harden
Kawhi
PG
Love
klay
Derozan

Is it just me or LA area producing more talent?
(Who all want to play for Lakers ...even if they don’t say it publicly )

Well, for starters they're not all actually from LA, they're from the LA 'area'.  And secondly, the LA metro area is a hugely populated area with year round warm weather.  Kind of stands to reason there would be a lot of talented basketball players coming from such a huge population center.

Definitely weather is a big factor for sure. Much easier to go outside your door and play in 70 degrees vs having to drive on ice filled roads to a gym and play.

9.8 million people is a lot of potential talent to draw from.

Also the media and players identify from LA more readily than other areas. Love for example was born in Santa Monica and grew up in Oregon. Is that really "LA"? Same thing for Klay he was born in LA and then moved to Oregon where he grew up and played with Love.

Also a lot of players who have NBA potential and aspirations move to LA to play in their basketballs for Junior High or High School. The AAU circuit out west helps feed into this.

Kevin Love was born in Santa Monica, but essentially grew up in Oregon, going to Lake Oswego High School (just outside of Portland).

Klay is from LA because he dad played for the Lakers.

You can find more interesting detail deep within basketball-reference.com.

List of players by high school state

California    437
New York    338
Illinois    268
Pennsylvania    219
Texas    186

List of players by birth state

California    390
New York    352
Illinois    252
Pennsylvania    205
Ohio    171

And you could go deeper into those links to see actual cities, and not knowing exactly makes up the LA metro area, it definitely looks like it dominates by itself but especially when you add in Hollywood, Inglewood, Compton, Long Beach, Pasadena, etc.

Trivia question, based solely on those lists, there's one state that has not had one NBA player born or go to high school there, name that state.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Took me a few guess (first ones were Rhode Island, Delaware, and Alaska), but after that it seemed pretty obvious. To not ruin it for others I'll write it in white: Vermont

Where I am from...
A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Push yourself again and again. Don't give an inch until the final buzzer sounds.

Big TP for the writing it in white idea. If you just highlight with the cursor over your answer, it shows up crystal clear with a blue background.

It also shows up (hard to see, but there) in the quoted section, since it has a green background
