Given the Rich Paul comments I'm possibly seeing this as us facilitating AD to the Lakers...

Griffin wanted an all star, a future all star and picks.. so what about the #4 pick coming our way for Hayward?

To Boston: #4, Moore

To LA: AD

To NO: Hayward, Ingram, LA picks

At least as a basis for discussion. Not sure if the salaries work on draft night but it could be agreed and then finalised on the first day of free agency

Seems like it has to be a star on a rebuilding team.

Literally the only name I’ve seen mentioned is Beal.

But as RJ pointed out the other day, Beal is in virtually the same position that AD was last year, so why would you want to set yourself up with that issue again in just a year’s time? Makes no sense for NOLA.

I am REALLY hoping Danny can figure this thing out with including the MEM pick. That is going to be a huge asset for us moving forward. If AD should in fact walk, we will need that pick to help jump start our rebuild.

It really comes down to how highly NOP values Tatum. It seems as though he is clearly the top prize, but is he enough to make up for all of the other middling assets LAL is throwing out there? It's not like we don't have other picks to include.

I think we will trade the 14 to new Orleans

Trade the 22nd pick to another team for a future pick perhaps

But I wonder what we do with the 20th pick we have. Not sure another team picks it up. We could stash it or trade it for a future pick but that market is cold

I think we could possibly draft a rookie at 20

I trust Danny. If he goes for AD, he has to think that there’s a significant chance that we can retain him next year, with or without Kyrie. Block out the noise from Klutch and do what you think is best for Boston.

And the more I hear about NOLA wanting a vet or high-level player in the deal, the more I think that the Capela rumor is tied up with the AD trade. The other night I worked out a few scenarios where we could help facilitate Capela and Tatum to NOLA, though it would cost us Al in the process. But if you could get something like AD and Eric Gordon back, that’s probably be worth it and could just convince Kyrie to resign by giving him a more veteran team to contend with.

Has Al opted out yet?

To be clear, of course: The Celtics and Lakers are trying to negotiate independent deals with New Orleans for Anthony Davis. There's no spirit of cooperation here. The Lakers No. 4 pick would be used to acquire Davis in a multi-team deal that does NOT include Boston.

im glad woj cleared the air. Lol the trade ideas were going to drive me nuts

Yeah, that’s definitely not getting it done, especially with Ingram’s health issues, Ball’s questionable durability and family baggage, and the fact that this is a three player draft.

has made it known to the Lakers but not Celtics ... The wording here is odd. I've seen that 3 team deal thing linked to the Lakers but stein words it as a general idea for all teams.

that #4 pick is the worst pick in the entire draft

$6 million dollar cap hold and you might get stuck with a james young 2.0 (cam reddish)

The cap hold is no biggie for a rebuilding squad but for a contending team with tight money (like Lakers), it's way too much
