Haha Davis is healthy and reportedly wanted to come back and play last night against the Pacers and management refused.

If he's one of those players who genuinely loves to play I think he may not have fully realized what he's gotten himself into here. They might not let him play all season and you couldn't blame them for it.

The NBA has a major problem on its hands. It's all well and good that players are going where they want in free agency, but they are now sabotaging the teams they intend to leave BEFORE free agency.

If AD sits out the rest of this season, it would be the second time (along with Kawhi Leonard) that a top player has basically sat out the last season of their deal (either by his own decision or as a consequence of a trade request).

Lebron hates authority.  Unless he is in charge .  Big reason to me , thats why he went to LA.  not many GM s will play along his defiant attitude and allow him to run the team.  Lebron basically is uncoachable at this point .  A coach is just a figurehead .  He loves having power and controling everything.

Magic was despert to turn Lakers around . Bringing bron into the fold made him out to be a genius to the avg . title starved LA fan.

The battle for control of the NBA is now on .

Bron has said the NFL owners are nothing more than slave owners .

You can see it with his interview after the trade request and his behavior overall, he's not willing to go full scorched earth as a villain.

But that's the tactic he has approved his agent to pursue. *shrug*

AD comes off as a quiet and reserved person.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's intimidated by LeBron and Rich Paul.  There much be intense pressure to conform to their vision.

I don't buy that at all. I think he's 100% on board with everything that's happening, but he doesn't want to look like the bad guy so he's letting Rich Paul pull the strings.

Do you believe the reports that he wouldn't consider re-signing in Boston?  He might be on board right now but I'm not convinced that he can't/wont be swayed to stay if he plays a full season with Kyrie in Boston.

It's not far-fetched to suggest that AD is being heavily influenced by the people surrounding him.  Right now LeBron is pulling all of the strings.  Things can change if Ainge, Brad, Kyrie and the Boston fan base enter the equation.

I do believe he's not interested in Boston right now. Those comments his father made about IT and loyalty are close to the same thing AD himself said when IT was traded. Sure, maybe he can be swayed. That happens. But I don't believe for a second that he's a puppet in all of this.

I would do it... but Brittany Spears man!

I tried, but I got this message:

And I hate the current picture, but can't figure out how to get rid of it.

I suppose I agree in the sense that "puppet" is a strong word.  I just believe that his opinions can be easily swayed if he's surrounded by a different group of players/people.  LarBrd33 made an excellent point by suggesting that we are likely to see a change in the public narrative if Davis doesn't get moved at the deadline.  All of sudden Boston will emerge as a team that Davis "might" consider re-signing with.

Many in Pelicans hierarchy really like Lonzo. I know many envision (d) he and Jrue as an excellent backcourt.

But I’m told LaVar has wrecked any chance of Lonzo being part of potential Lakers trade with NOLA.

They got Lavar to keep quiet this season, but he's unhinged now since they've been dangling him in talks. Wonder if they move Lonzo even if they don't get AD by the deadline?

No matter what happens I hope the lakers still have Lonzo past the deadline.  Lavar will not be silenced any longer.

I feel bad for Lonzo. He seems like a good dude, his dad is killing his life and career

I think that was Paul's pitch - you want the Lakers before free agency so they can give you your supermax, I will absolutely get you there, and only there. Doubt he thought it through much beyond that.
