and now LaVar Ball comes out and says he doesnt want Lonzo in New Orleans and said he will "speak it into existence"thats gonna throw a wrench into things for LA
That's honestly not a bad offer. Sure the Celtics can beat that this summer, but that's still a lot of value.

There would be a lot less drama if Kyrie would just come out and say I am staying in Boston just like I said early in the season. Why doesn't he do that? Why does he potentially sabotage his own team's possible improvement WITH AD? I just don't get it. Is he a part of this whole Rich Paul powerplay for LeBron?

Here's a 5 minute excerpt where I explain the logic to all of this: https://youtu.be/-VFuQ9IuTOEOnce we get past the trade deadline with Davis still on the Pelicans, these storylines will completely change. Suddenly Boston will be on Anthony Davis' radar. But for the next few days, hold tight through an increasing violent storm of misinformation and spin.

Is he a part of this whole Rich Paul powerplay for LeBron?Because maybe his future isn't as tethered to AD aas people are making it out to be... And because maybe, quite possibly, he's not sure if he wants to be here longterm.Either way, he's not sabotaging anything. We can't trade for AD right now, so this season is what it is regardless.

It's a lot of quantity, but you're trading 1.5 years of a top-5 superstar for two average starters, two late round picks, and a bad young PG with some modest potential who brings a huge distraction with him.

Is he a part of this whole Rich Paul powerplay for LeBron?I explain it in the video. He wants to make sure he gets a say in the direction of the team - something he probably deserves considering his stature... and coming out and saying "i'm definitely staying" takes away any of that leverage.Whether or not we keep Tatum/Brown or trade Hayward/Horford or go after Davis or work a sign-and-trade for Kevin Durant - Kyrie wants to make sure he has a say in that. It makes sense for him to play his cards and he's playing them.Everything still suggests he's staying long-term.
