It would be interesting if Portland gets in the mix.  They could offer CJ McCollum and Nurkic for Davis and Moore.

I remember Demps trying to trade Chris Paul for veterans rather than attempting to rebuild.  This would be somewhat similar except McCollum is 27 and Nurkic is 24.  Demps might prefer that to draft picks and unproven young players.

Portland pairs Davis with Lillard.

Actually, given the Knicks cap situation and how a trade of Davis would go down, it's most likely the Knicks have cap space for just one max free agent signing.

Lol the Pelicans essentially calling out Rich Paul with this statement.

Yeah, I don’t see them trading AD to LA and Lebron, certainly not at the trade deadline. They made it clear in this statement that they will be trading him for the best package and when they think is appropriate, which is not in the next ten days with Boston unable to be in the mix until summer.

Anyone think that maybe New Orleans is p---ed at Paul/LAL and will purposely not give in the next 10 days?

Maybe not take an inferior package, but if anything remotely close to equal, they take that solely to not appease them.

This is the second time they requested the league to investigate tampering involving the Lakers. If they go out and trade him to them within a couple weeks, they will look like chumps.

Maybe there will be other teams jumping into the mix but I’m starting to think this ploy won’t work.

If the Suns got the number 1 pick they could put together a tempting offer.
The Clippers could put together a better package than the Lakers

Point is, thats 5 packages better than the Lakers can offer. All these rumors in the next two weeks are going to be floated by Lebron's camp to scare NO into dealing with LA now, cause they'll hardly be competitive this summer.

I don’t think I would give up both Zion (assuming they get the top pick) and KP for AD.

That could be one of the most exciting duos to watch in a long time.
