Lonzo Ball is a throw-in to me. Replacement level value.

Ingram's health has weakened the Lakers' offer. He has no value. They've added  the #4 , but that apparently isn't enough, as they are looking for a 3rd team to trade the #4 .

Ainge appears to be in the drivers seat.

Because Horford holds a player option, I don't think he can be traded unless he excersies his option and agrees to a sign and trade after July 1st.

I could be wrong about that but I think that's how player options work.

Hmm, not sure about that. I thought that as soon as he accepted it he could be traded as a regular contract, not a sign-and-trade.

Either way, the timing and the agreement by Horford shouldn't be a deal breaker, as you would have to get Horford to buy in to the trade regardless; otherwise, he would just opt out and try to restructure or go elsewhere.

Why does anybody think these young Lakers players are enticing pieces in a trade?

Well, it seems like the Pelicans are at least listening, which must mean they possibly find these pieces enticing enough given the circumstances.

I suspect  Ainge hasn't played all his cards yet--and  Griffin is using Lakers as leverage to get more from Ainge.

The Lakers reportedly "feel like they’re in the driver’s seat" in trade talks for Anthony Davis. https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2019/6/13/18678250/nba-trade-rumors-lakers-drivers-seat-anthony-davis-rob-pelinka-kyle-kuzma-tyronn-lue-vroom?utm_campaign=silverscreenandroll&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

Ingram most certainly has value.  Blood clots are scary but it is my understanding his situation is not the same as Bosh.  I'd definitely trade the #14 for him.  Without the injury I'd probably slot him in at #2 in this draft.

More Ramona Shelburne stunting for the Lakers lol Literally every other reporter is painting a much different picture with NOLA not impressed with LA's offer at all; hence the need to add more to it through a third team.

So Toronto goes out on a limb and trades for Kawhi and subsequently wins the title.

You have to wonder if this just emboldens Danny even more to take that risk. Couldn't have come at a better time if it did.

It definitely could. If he is aggressive all year (going for Gasol for example) after he nabs Davis the story could be very similar.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

The Boston media has been claiming since February that Ainge will be "aggressive" to get Davis no matter what Kyrie does. Aggressive means putting Tatum on the table.

We'll see if its true.

My understanding is the Lakers don't want to include Kuzma in the deal, which is supposedly the hang-up.

I think the Pelicans would rather take the Celtics offer and it sounds like they really like Tatum.

I wish Ainge would just make it happen so we can get this done with.

i think it certainly does .....whats more i think his health scare also gives him cause to get another BIG deal done and shot at another title while he can still be GM.   This might be his last chance to put together another title team.

Oh man, that's another good point - seeing yet another star go down with what looks like a major knee injury has to have Kyrie contemplating solidifying his future financial stability.
