I wonder if there comes a point in time where Davis begins to think about organizational stability. It might not be high on the priority list right now but he doesn't appear to be someone who enjoys partaking in the media circus. AD strikes me as a player who just wants to play basketball without distractions. This is a huge reason why I think he would stay in Boston if we acquired him.
The most stable organizations in recent memory have been the Spurs and Warriors. Both of these teams had an organic roster building process (not saying there wasn't luck involved). The Celtics have undergone a similar process in the sense that our GM has gradually built the team over a period of 5+ years (please don't take this too literally, as I realize that the roster turnover has been significant). We also have a coach who consistently gets the most out of his players. The path to a title might be easier in LA (if they land two more FA's) but I don't see a better option than Boston when it comes to contending for 5+ years.
