Team had a great season and I don't want to take away from that but ...

Coach failed them in game 7 sorry! The fact he could not make an adjustment to get Rozier off Lebron is horrible. Slowing down the game when we struggle in the half court was terrible, speed was our advantage! Last but not least the inability to stop Smart and Rozier from chucking up shots when they are stone cold blows my mind!!!

Rozier has been spotted still at TD Garden this morning trying to hit his first 3, he's 0-30,000! :o

The only thing that matters is that in this kind of games you have to have your best player on court and we missed 2 of them. If at least Kyrie was there we would have seen less shooting from Smart and Rozier.

It's disappointing because it's a game we could have, and should have, won. It's always frustrating when you feel that you lost because you shot yourself in the foot. (In the Celtics' case they couldn't shoot the ball let alone anyone's foot.) In this case Jaylen and Terry picked the worst time to have bad playoff games. 7-32 is terrible by any standard, not even considering that many of those shots were ill-advised. But if we look at where Jaylen and Terry are at in their careers, they've had that inconsistency. Maybe the occasion got to them, who knows. That's something they need to work on, better judgment on shot selection and more composure and better execution in pressure moments.

I agree with the comment that they weren't really playing with house money. They stopped playing with house money once we beat Cleveland in the first two games and led 3-2 with 2 chances to get to the Finals. I feel we were the better team over the course of the series. Just weren't good enough when it really counted, during the championship minutes of Game 7. It's hard to make the Finals and now they all know it.

No excuses, they just weren't good enough on the day - in the quarter - to win. But once we've had time to get over it I think we will all realize that the season hasn't been ruined by a failure to get past the final hurdle.  This team provided us with so many thrills and fun moments over the course of the season and I'm proud of what they achieved, they were one of the most fun to watch Celtics teams in a long time. Nobody can doubt their heart, unfortunately their execution wasn't at the same level. But I'm excited about next season, we will be better. It will be interesting to see how/if the team changes by the time training camp rolls around.

It was amazing we even got here if you reflect that we did not have our two best players.   Everyone in the league will fear us next year even if LeBron goes to Philly.   We will have one of the best starting fives in the league.

It stinks we lost.

Tommy points to both of you. I lost 519 points but I believed and we should have come out on top. Future is bright but man we had it right there.

I feel we missed and rushed a lot of shots and the young guys panicked some. The Cavs were mediocre. If we were mediocre, we win. We have better talent, but much less experience.

I remember hoping we get to the next series against the Bucks and then against the Sixers. Before the Cavs, I was worried about our rotation getting too thin, getting worn down and when fatigue sets in, decision making declines and mistakes happen.

We were playing 7 guys by game 7, many with limited playoff experience, especially big game playoff experience. It showed. Tough loss, but great playoffs given the circumstances.

All I know is I can’t watch any sports programs for at least the next 5 days, and that I need a drink or 10

Yeah, this is the fall-out from such a disappointing loss. I just can't listen to the media talk about what a legendary performance Lebron and 4 nobodies put on the hapless Cs. It was his best performance ever...blah blah blah.

Disappointing to say the lease and I agree with Pho - only so many chances you get at something like this. Rozier and Brown tear it up in game 6, but can't contribute when the season is on the line.

If I’m not mistaken, the C’s have had 5 chances to make the Finals in the last 11 years, and unless disaster strikes they’ll be looking at a few more opportunities in the coming years.  With top talent in the eastern conference of the NBA, the opportunity to get to a Finals isn’t actually that elusive.

I’d prefer they made it, but I would have hated the likely outcome.

I enjoyed rooting for the C’s this season.  Clearly they were the underdog all year and watching the young guys play outstanding team ball was fun.  I think an opportunity was missed that may not come around again as often as people think.  However, I do feel the future is bright but you never know what will happen from year to year as you can see from this years injuries.  Go Celtics!!!!!

After yesterday's game, I've concluded that between Rozier, Morris, and Smart this team just has too much stupid to make the next step. Now, we can hope that Irving and Hayward will push those sufficiently far down the depth chart so it wouldn't matter, but I'd rather let both Rozier and Smart go, put Brown in heor role off the bench, and find a real big to start.

I can understand that feeling on offense, but what will Ainge do about defending tall wings?  Morris and Smart played key roles vs. Cavs.  Are Hayward and Tatum enough wing depth on defense?  Brown needs to improve defensively as well.

what I'd like to hear in the post game interviews is someone ask Jaylen and Rozier why they insisted on continuing to shoot 3's when they were obviously bricking everything instead of trying to drive or moving closer for an easier shot

plenty need to be crucified after this loss including brad
would have liked to have heard someone ask him too
Well his idea of what to do in the fourth quarter was, "We just need to make some shots". Stupid basketball is stupid.
