How could anyone be happy for Jeff Green?

All I'm thinking is where the hell was that when WE needed him?!

Dude had heart surgery, he's been maligned his whole career, but he started in place of an injured All-Star in Game 7 of the ECF and played the best game of his career (given the stakes).

Hats off to him.

Yeah I don't get the Jeff Green hate around here.  Just because people expected him to be a superstar and it didn't turn out that way they are mad at him now for playing well??.  Despite what the green haters say, he played well tonight, and we didn't guard him well enough and he burned us.  Hats off to him.

I won't give you Lebron as being the greatest of all time and I cannot stand Jeff Green, but I would like to modify a line from your post by saying that, "Celtics basketball is stupid." That's the real takeaway, here, for me, as throughout the vast majority of this series Boston simply looked like the child that got left behind, quite honestly, and Lebron's intelligence, more than anything else, imo, simply dwarfed any and all knowledge that is possessed both by our players and the coaching staff. Use your brain and even with our depleted roster, this could have been a five game series, at the most, imo, but these guys are so consumed by analytics and all of that crap that they just cannot seem to take an easier shot and/or exploit a mismatch because threes ::).

forget what was working killing them down lw on mismatches on post ups and PNR

lets just shoot ourselves out game 7 of the ECF

UNBELIEVABLE

Someone needs to make a Numb3rs meme with Stevens' face superimposed over Charlie's, LOL #YesIAmTheOnlyPersonWhoActuallyWatchedThatShow ;D.

When he was in green they didn’t need him to be a superstar, just do what he did tonight on the big stage. He never did and won’t in the Finals.

Game was lost in the second...up 12 in total control and Rozier/Brown take quick 3s that allowed Cleveland to get easy baskets to keep it close

Boston has to many empty trips in the second and early third

what I'd like to hear in the post game interviews is someone ask Jaylen and Rozier why they insisted on continuing to shoot 3's when they were obviously bricking everything instead of trying to drive or moving closer for an easier shot

Tonight was the first time Brown and Rozier looked like young players on the grand stage. Both seemed to try to shoot themselves hot by taking threes instead of taking what the game gave them.

Al got 6 post touches and was 4-4 and fouled the other 2 times. In the second quarter up 12 you continue to play inside out

I'm happy for Green as well. He has pretty much under achieved for a good part of his career - but came back and played again after open heart surgery - which when you think about it is pretty amazing. The last 2 games he came through when no one expected it.

Jeff Green was passive, complaining, soft and often disappeared in Boston. I wish nothing but ill on him.

The loss sucks but it shouldn’t over shadow how special this season

When Hayward went down I figured the Cs would be a 6 or 7 seed in the easy. They absolutely shocked me winning enormous gah games to be the 2 seed.

WhennIrving went down I thoUgh they where going to be lucky to win in the first round and that it would just serve as a development lesson for Tatum and Brown. They then made it to the EFC game 7.

This was the type of season that sets a foundation for years to come.

On a personal note it was the first season that my currently 5 year old sat and really watched and cared about the outcomes me of a game. Even though he struggle late in the playoffs I will always Be a Rozier fan for the excited my daughter showed when hearing the nick name scary terry.
