Great news. We need narratives which show that Danny is capable of losing a trade. I remember a 14/16 month (after Green and Rondo deals) period where noone wanted to do business with us. Now after the Tatum deal fliecing, again we need these DA downers, like that Charlotte one. Leak another one please!

Funny how the only thing the anti-Ainge contingent can say is that he was lucky his proposed rumored trades didn’t go through.

Kind of pathetic.

Wasn’t he lucky? I’m sure he’d admit that himself.
Yeah, sometimes it works out that being good helps in getting lucky. And there us nothing wrong with being both good and lucky. In that instance, Ainge was lucky the offer was never accepted.

But I am not going to think lesser of Ainge for a trade that never happened. Some people do however. I think that's what footey was conveying.

Um, those picks turned into Rozier and a bunch of hot garbage.  DA's offer was not nearly as attractive as people make it out to be.

And as far as Rozier, you can probably bet that those teams would have drafted someone else.
Jaylen Brown or Tatum was hot garbage?

Zach Lowe, Simmons, and others have been consistent one of the picks offered was a BKN pick.

And Ainge has consistently denied that.

I'm sure he's happy with how things worked out, but that's not the same thing. I would fully expect Ainge to say privately that:

1) He never offered the BKN pick
2) Winslow absolutely had the talent to approach Brown/Tatum results in Boston

Danny can’t and hasn’t won all his trades.

It just looks more one sided because the other side hasn’t done anything positive with their side of the deal.

even the morning after the draft Ainge admitted he may have gone too far.  That was even before
Winslow played a single NBA game...
