I expect a split at the TD Garden and Quicken Loans Arena.

7-game series.

I don't

Celts will win tomorrow

And I think they will get a split down at Cleveland

From there, not sure...

That was my prediction too. Split first two games, split the next two.

After that, idk. Heart says C's in 7, mind says Cavaliers in 6.

If we win Game 2 tomorrow night though.... we might have a chance at finishing this in 5! (But that's still a HUGE IF at the moment).

Celtics could win in Cleveland. They did it last year without Isaiah Thomas. They came so close this year without Gordon Hayward for most of the game. What I like to see is the Celtics come out firing in all cylinders tomorrow. Do their job as #2 seed and defend home-court. I also anticipate LeBron James dropping 40 points tomorrow.

Should the Cavs shoot better? Yes. However Boston needs to keep the D temp up and they can limit the impact of Cleveland shooting better.

I believe it all comes down to how smart Boston plays. If they take good shots and not a lot of fast 3's, they should have a good chance to win this.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Game 2 is a clear trap game.

For the Cavs!

Game 1 is very meaningful.  The Celtics proved they aren't going to get steamrolled by the Cavs like they did to the Raptors.

Now Game 2 is where they can actually solidify the homecourt advantage.  If they can start the series 2-0 and steal 1 game away, this series is pretty much over.

So game 2 is very important as Lebron generally saves his best performances for game 2.  Brad is smart.  Hopefully he can analyze what Lebron does different in game 2, and as a chess master, neutralize that with some contingency plans on how to play him differently if need be.

I very much doubt these Celtics feel complacent.  They are well aware that nationally they are considered the underdogs despite home court.  Lebrons "zero concerns" about the Celtics comment is also probably plastered all over the locker room as well!!

What the C's can't do is let Cleveland get off to a flying start like they let Philadelphia do in Game 2. Now, we came back from that deficit, but I don't think we can pull it off against a Lebron-led CLE team IF we fall behind by 20+ early to be honest.

Have to weather their runs, play smart, limit the turnovers, and smother them on defense.

Game will definitely be closer than Game 1 though. I think we're going to see Tatum step up big time, especially if the key for CLE is to limit Horford (w/Thompson) and we assume Morris and Brown will have their hands full with Lebron (in which case, we need Tatum to be aggressive and attack the guys defending him like Love - at times, JR Smith, Korver)

I hope Morris has regained his mojo again and can give us 18-20 points as well tomorrow night.

I don't know how the series will play out, but I thought SAS said something interesting on First Take today (I know...). He said that whether or not the Cavs win, Lebron will make sure to get 'his'. Like, of course he is going to try to win, but if the ship starts sinking, he will make sure he has really good numbers so that people blame his weak supporting cast and not him.

Oh yeah, I watched that segment too  ;D

I agree, Lebron will put up good numbers the rest of the way and I doubt he'll be that bad again. But I think SAS meant it more in the way that, Lebron will do what Lebron does, BUT at least 2 of his supporting cast has to show up (Love definitely, and one of Korver/Smith/Green) for them to have a chance at winning. That makes sense too.

But yeah, if the Cavs lose and Lebron averages like 50/10/10 the rest of this series, then he has the excuse about his supporting cast being trash too lol.

I can't be the only one who thinks that complacency will not be an issue.  Despite our youth I think all of our players realize who we're up against, and that if we come out flat then we're doomed.  We're not good enough to "flip the switch".

If Cleveland beats us this series it will be due to being a better overall team (or LeBron playing at a superhuman level like he is still capable).  I will however remain suspicious of the referees every game regardless of the outcome.

I think they’ve learned from that game 3 in Milwaukee.

We were very impressive yesterday and Cleveland threw up a dud. I expect a much more intense start from them, and we need to match.

If they are inserting TT into the starting lineup, I like that for us.
