If we lose Game 5, you have permission to panic.  Sixers have significantly more talent than our current group.  We had no business winning 3 straight against them.  Gotta win Game 5.

I will panic if we lose game 5. Got to finish them off. Also just for clarity because people constantly throw around betting terms really loosely to try and make a point. The sixers are not really favored. It is a pickem. On my site if I bet 110 on the 76ers I win 100. If I bet 110 on the Celtics I get 100 dollars. We can be offended by it being a pickem (on our homecourt) if we want, but no need to act like it is anything more than that.

Trying to be one step ahead -- already panicking.  Sixers shooters just need one of those ridiculous shooting games which they are capable of -- and then the series is pretty much a push.  Unlikely to get anything close to the terrible shooting start the Sixers had in Game 5.

The Celts won Games 1-3 because they are the better team.  Yes, two of those games were close.  One was a blowout.  The Celts have had a chance to win in all four games so far.

Game four was predictably called in favor of the Sixers, and it was on the road.  The Celts have two home games to close this out, and one game in Philly.  They've already won a game in Philly.

I'm not panicking.  I'll be stressed if the Celts lose tomorrow, but I still like their chances winning one out of two with a game seven at home.

It's been noted by plenty of media people but Embiid's conditioning is not great.  He is only going to get worse as this series goes on.  That should help the Celts close it out.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Favored by who the hype shows?   I bet none of the guys predicting this would put money on them to win!

This is not an incredibly close series. Nor do they have the best players.

I think you have to be careful with that.  Yes, we are up 3-1 and that does not seem close but game 4 was an overtime, could have gone either way game that if it had gone the other way, the series is 2-2 and all the superfluous media would be saying how close the series is.

The play and the talent are very close in this series from what I see.  Luckily, the score in games won vs. lost is in our favor.

I hope the Celtics can close this out before this does get close in terms of games.  I like the Celtics at home, even if Vegas doesn't, but we still need to go out and play like it is 2-2.

Celtics "favored" by 1.5 points as tip off approaches (still a pick em in real terms), but definitely can't say Philly is favored.

The Vegas lines have been weird this year.  I haven't done the math, but I bet if you took the points every game, you'd be WAY ahead.  I took Utah +11.5 and +12 and NOP +12.  Those types of spreads are reserved for clear blowouts.  If they think Cleveland is big fav next round in G1, I'll take that one too.

If we make it to next round, knock on wood, Cleveland will not be a big favorite against us game 1. My guess is they may be 3.5 point favorites. Somewhere around there, to a small extent it depends how this series wraps up. If we dominate tonight it could be smaller.

Given that home-court is worth 4-5 points in most betting circles, it still says the public believes in Philly and that they are the better team (to the betting public) than our Cs.

That same dumb public thought the Cavs were the better team vs  the Pacers.........and those people lost their collective (and figurative) shirts. Pacers covered ALL 7 times.

In our "08 Finals, the Fakers were favored 9-11, so 5 won you 9 on us.

This is true but nobody in this thread was talking about who would be favored on a neutral court.
