Tatum has become timid and less confident. As everyone is mentioning, I suppose it is the 'rookie wall' or his new baby, but I have almost forgotten how confident and smooth he was earlier in the season. The only shots he takes are iso outside jumpers and lay-ups that he now misses or gets stripped on the way. This guy needs summer break in a big way.
Jaylen otoh is displaying the potential we all hoped for - consistent from 3pt, hitting his fts, advanced dribble moves and hesitation that is opening up lanes to the hoop, even his fall-aways are looking good. Combine that with his elite defense and intense focus and I think we've really got something here.
Of course Jaylen is in 2nd year and is 1 1/2 years older than Tatum, but most people certainly had Tatum over Brown earlier in the season - I am not sure that is the case anymore. Tatum still has sky-high potential, but he has to change his body language and get that confidence back.
