The author of this article wants readers to believe Kyrie was difficult and the Cavs had to trade him, but if anything this just conveys an even stronger impression that the organization is a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.show, and Kyrie was completely justified in wanting out.

When did Kyrie get the injury, and if so, am I the only one worried he might seriously be injury prone?

According to the article, it's a clean up directly related to the 2015 knee injury (if true, likely just a knee scope with a short layoff).

If that is true, why did they wait so long to bring it up, and why release it now? It makes them look really bad, and based on the previous rookie GM mistakes, (trying to force an extra 2nd rounder even though the results of Isaiah Thomas's injury reports were released,) and listening directly to what Lebron wants.

This whole thing is damage control on the part of the organization. I'm sure the Cav's fan base remains very disappointed that they got abused by Danny in this trade.

(That's all they had to do is visit this forum to get the right scoop.)

However, it is their misfortune that Kyrie wanted to leave in the first place.

I love it.

You want to have some fun...visit the Cavs Fan Forum, I'm sure right about now they're really happy with this trade.

This is damage control. Because after LeBron leaves at the end of the season, and IT isn't signed, and Love is traded, that franchise is shakey, especially if it remains in Cleveland.

This is what happens when you allow a superstar to suck all the air out of the room.

Tsk Tsk.  Danny rarely ever loses a trade.  And almost every player he's ever traded, gets traded again...  When will people learn?

I hate trade demands.  Just honor your contract.  If one of my players demanded a trade, and then threatened surgery, I'd suspend him for the year and take it to an arbitrator.

But, so far Cleveland's loss seems to be our gain.

looking at the cavs this year and the potential of lebron leaving, do you blame him?

I "blame" everyone who doesn't honor their contract.  I don't think he should have done it, but if the owners and GMs are going to reward that type of behavior, I understand it.

Glad he did it.  Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make what matters most in your life, happen. Getting out from under the Kings rule meant that much to him, and because of that my favorite team is the beneficiary of his decision.  True or not really doesn't matter at this point.

Then is ownership not honoring their contract when they trade a player?  The player signed said contract with that team and city.  How do the contractual obligations of a team to a player only cover the payment considerations (you'll get paid, we just don't guarantee where), while a player's obligations to the organization cover both payment and team (you'll get paid and you must remain here)?

I don't like it when players try to renegotiate freshly-signed contracts or sabotage their effort to facilitate escape either.  But it seems kind of lame to have the Cavs try unsuccessfully to trade Kyrie and everything is cool, then Kyrie demands to be traded and he's a villain.

Since the contract and CBA allow for trades, of course a team is within its contractual rights to trade a player. There’s no such provision for demanding a trade, and threatening an unnecessary surgery unless a trade demand is met is a breach of contract.

You guys need to read the contracts and CBA. Trades aren’t a two-way street, which makes the “what about the owners” argument a non-starter.

This. All these stories and leaks are coming from Lebron. He knows the ship is sinking and is trying to deflect blame.
