Well the joke's on them, because based on the net plus/minus of IT and Crowder, the Cavs still would be a better team this year if they'd kept Kyrie, and he'd had the surgery and played zero games.

I am not sure the surgery is bad enough to miss the entire season. Sounds like it meant a few months...

IF he gets it done in Boston, I am sure it will be in the summer...the article said it was just a clean up procedure. There is no way he would be able to play like he is if he need some sort of major, miss an entire season surgery.

Crowder has been horrible, IT hasnt fit in...and the Brooklyn pick isnt looking as good as it was when they acquired it

It's not pressing -- Irving is averaging 24.5 points and shooting a career-high .477 from the field -- but the procedure would ease some of the swelling and day-to-day pain he feels.

This is just thrown in with no other quotes or reporting attached to it which seems kind of weird to me. If Kyrie Irving needs knee surgery (even minor surgery that can be done in the offseason) that's a real story and I've never heard anything about it before.

I wonder what "it's not pressing" means. Not pressing meaning he might never have it?

I'd imagine that if it were just about reducing pain a little bit, a lot of players could get "non-pressing" treatments of various kinds, including cleanup surgeries. But that given the risks associated with doing so, they choose not to.
