“I think the biggest thing is that it’s a great opportunity for the player, first and foremost,” Stevens said of Bennett. “We all know that the G-League is being evaluated every day by every team’s scouts. So regardless for your organization or for the other 29, it’s a good thing for the player.”

Could he be our DPE guy? Will he change is approach in the game if he returns in the main league like Larkin?

We wouldn’t waste the DPE on him. He’s a vet minimum guy at best.

He bounced around the league and couldn't even carve out a role with Brooklyn, which at the time was basically an auditioning for a backup spot at the "bigs" position behind Brook Lopez.  He ended up getting less playing time (MPG) than Justin Hamilton (no longer in the league) and Quincy Acy.

I don't think he's worth a roster spot on this team.

True, but the Nets not figuring out how to coach isn't really evidence of him being terrible.

Larkin gets passed on by lottery teams too. Just saying.

I give Atkinson some credit.  He seems like a pretty good coach, but at the time he had next to nil talent to work with.  He's not the only one who couldn't muster anything out of Bennett, mainly because Bennett isn't an NBA player.

I definitely think Atkinson is doing better with the Nets than could have been expected but he's still starting Tyler Zeller over Jarett Allen and the whole Jahil Okafor thing is bizarre.

I don't watch the Nets anymore since we don't own their pick.  But Atkinson did similarly with LeVert by bringing him slowly along off the bench as a rookie even when he was playing well.  RHJ also improved tremendously since being drafted on the offensive end.  In his rookie year he was a disaster offensively.  They have some nice young players thanks to new management and coaching, especially LeVert who I've been pretty high on when I've watched him play.

My guess is he's doing the same thing with Allen, who seems like he could develop into a bench big.  Not sure what's going on with Okafor.  I'd wager defensive issues, same as Philly.

He reminds me of a taller Larry Johnson. He is stronger and quicker though. Plus, he finishes stronger to the hoop.

This. At this point, he is an older Yabusele with some years of NBA experience. Take it as you want.

Anyway, it's fair to say Stevens has done some miracles elevating some players' game to the skies (IT, Turner, Crowder, etc). So we can't rule out any possibility.

The last I heard was a couple weeks ago when Atkinson said that they were going to hold Okafor out until he gets himself in better shape.  I don't think he's seen a minute of PT since then.

It seems he has an adversity problem  according to Cleveland-he runs away from it.
He spent the summer with Impact Training  and now the celts can watch closely with time and for very little money.Watching his attitude and training habits that he claims he now has.
-There is always Sully for a vet minimum

Green recently scored 18 points in 27 minutes and then another double digit game including tying three pointer resulting in 2nd overtime..Not one practice with his new team.Had been out of league since pre season and is playing with a non guaranteed contract.
By the way he braided his hair in Houston Logo.
