Crowder came apart during the ECF, his lack of athleticism and his slow foot speed really became apparent. He can only guard slow bigs everyone else can torch him.

But he is a top ten SF?  JK   That was ridiculous when folks said that.

I think I also remember hearing that Crowder is practically just like Jimmy Butler lol

Put Butler on the Cavs (or Crowder on the Wolves) and I think things become very different for both clubs

It’s very interesting how far Crowder has fallen this year.  His shooting has cratered (lowest since his 3rd season). But he’s also posting career lows in DRB% and TRB%, assist pefentage, steal percentage, and block percentage.  And you can see it with your eyes too.  He was a good NBA player last year, arguably very good.  It’s really unusual for someone at age 27 to have arguably his worst season coming off his two best, with no injuries involved. Yes some credit goes to Brad, but he’s arguably playing worse than his rookie season in Dallas.  Some regression isn’t t shocking, but putting up his worst season really is.

Those are letters. And again, he’s playing worse now than he did as a first/second year player in Dallas.  It’s not just CBS.  Maybe it’s also Lue?

There were also a fair amount of people on here a while back who thought Olynyk was as good as Giannis. Welcome to Celticsblog.

You know who else can't guard 40-year-old Carter? The Patriots defense.

I thought that Crowder had some ankle problems that were recurring. He looks much worse moving laterally last year and this. His defense seemed to have topped out in 2015-2016 season.

I'm trying to find constructive ways to channel my extreme displeasure about the Super Bowl. ;D TP back!

Jae has always been a good - and at times VERY good - defender.

Vince had a great game. No worries for Jae.

CLE is trying to win BUT at same time trying to tread water for when "IF" they meet GSW - provided they get by US and TOR and perhaps WAS.

I can see them trotting out a Defensive lineup of

LeBron, Jae, Jeff Green, Wade and perhaps Thompson...when that lineup is engaged they are VERY good defensively.

Between now and June they will need to get Tristan ready for such a lineup, though - dude looked completely lost in the Finals last year.
Not to send this thread off the rails, but can you back up that statement?  How does that 5-man lineup rate defensively?  There are stats available, go for it.

They are trillionaire divas , old and only give max effort when money is on the line, a playoff game , just like the old Celtics Danny dumped  .  At this point ,  they are get n paid for losing same as winning .   They can only play AB or Smart level defense for a few minutes or at a high level .....TOO old ......so they give pitifully no resistance on defense .....and there are no YOUNG legs to fall back on .   Lebron screwed this team hiring all his old buddies and over the hill role players.     IF a game lasted on 5 mi utes a quarter .....sure Cavs would be great .....but it doesn't ......they can't play hard for 48 minutes.   They don't have the legs to do it .   Maybe Lebron can play half a game hard , but he picks and chooses his battles.   This is no longer going to serve him with OLD players .  He needs youth on his side.

Maybe his personal life is affecting his play with the passing of his mother, and who knows what else.
