Remind me why we stopped starting Baynes to start Morris exactly?

We're worse at rebounding the ball with that lineup.

We're worse defensively with that lineup.

We're worse offensively with that lineup.

We need him in the playoffs to start against Cleveland

I don't want a morris twin anywhere near starting for this basketball team in the playoffs.

The small offensive positive that he provides over baynes is completely negated and some by the defensive loss and his awful rebounding.

Be prepared to see more Celtics losses frequently after dropping one to Miami and one to Detroit.

This team misses Hayward bad.
I don't mind losses when the team gives great effort. Statement losses like this on, howwever, are extremely aggravating.

This team doesn't really miss Hayward, it seems to miss great leadership from the coaching position, because that's the only way I can explain getting out so flat in one of the biggest games of the season so far.

Not sure why there is so much angst over Kyrie's or Horford's or anyone's play. The Celtics just got outplayed. Detroit came to play and got great shooting. They took advantage of the Drummond roll to the basket on pick and rolls and Harris matched Smart's hot outside shooting night.

It happens. Some nights a whole team can't shoot FT's better than Andre Drummond. Some nights you just can't get that rebound. Some nights the refs just don't give you the breaks. Tonight was one of those nights.

Got spoiled with that streak. It’s all good though.

This.

It’s a great point about the superstar calls we have been enjoying of late.  I can’t recall ever seeing a C’s team get the number of favorable calls as we’ve been getting with Kyrie.

But sometimes, and especially when you go against Avery Bradley, that’s not going to happen.  We got beat by a team hunting us for a win.  It’s probably good for the long term of this season, taking salt tonight.

5th game in a week, traveling between each game.  Pistons are a good team, but the schedule advantage helped them tonight, as they just looked a little fresher.

It was disappointing, with how well they have played it is easy to move on to the next game

Well, he waxed poetic about flexing lineups and playing match-ups, and then all of this went out the window in a giant brain fart when he for some reason decided that Horford can bang with Drummond.

I didn't get the starting of Morris instead of Baynes either. I also didn't get the early hooks in the 1st and 3rd of Brown. He is this team's second best scoring option. I also didn't see a lot of plays going to Brown or Tatum.

But give credit where it is due. Detroit came out playing their game plan better, shot better from the free throw line and dominated on the boards. Boston loss. It happens.

Do you think, if you sat down and talked with Brad about these decisions, you would have better ideas or reasons than he does?

It is absolutely fine for you to critize him, and think you have better insight than him, but I find it silly.

Yes, if you're prepared to explain away every seemingly unreasonable decision with, "Brad knows better" despite the obvious poor results we might as well pack up the forum and go. If it works, Brad S is a genius, if it doesn't -- most of you forum scrubs can't even begin to grasp the master plan anyhow.

I only have 2 things to say to that:
1. It must be good being Brad.
2. That's how religions started way back when.

I don't think I'll be revealing a great secret if I pointed out that Brad has problems handling rotations and implementing in-game adjustments. Being unprepared before the tip-off and overall flat are less characteristic, though.

Tobias Harris was amazing in this game. I'd even call this one a "Tobias Harris game".
