He will be here for 2 years.  You don't get much for a 1 year rental and his production versus his cost is a steal.  He's a great bench player and adds a toughness to the team that we don't have a lot of.  He also is a decent starter and fills in for injured players.  No way he is traded unless he is a bad influence on the young guys.  He replaced Crowder on and off the court with his contract, leadership and production.  I'd have to say that after seeing him for 13 games he seems to be a better player the Crowder now and is actually cheaper this year and next.

Trade values can swing wildly at times, and all it takes is 1 team to overpay.  An example was when the Thunder traded Ibaka in the last year of his deal, and got in return  Ilyasova, Oladipo, and the 11th pick that turned out to be Sabonis.  Funny they then used Sabonis and Oladipo to then get Paul George in the last year of his deal.

When Hayward comes back his playing time could go down a lot.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ainge flip him before then when teams are strapped for cap space next year.

The future core is irving hayward Tatum Brown... I would add Horford but his age will force ainge  to trade him at some point... everyone else will leave at some point

Maybe Horford can take a pay cut once his contract expires, and we can keep Morris at an ideal price  ;D (yeah, wishful thinking though)

I hope so. I know that’s his rep. So far his D is fine but he’s not exactly a tall Marcus Smart...

I like Marcus Morris.  He can make some shots.  And we needed that.  He will probably look for a hefty pay-raise once his contract is up, and he looks to be earning it.  So again, probably another good player we're going to have to let walk.  Just enjoy the 2 years of bargain basement labor.  He looks to be outperforming his contract by a good margin so far!

I'm thinking he will get Evan Turner type money from somebody!  At that point I'll just thank him for his contributions and wave goodbye!  There will be some other vets who want to sign for the exception to join a winning team and maybe boost their FA value in 2 years time.

Think about it...a player is making $5,000,000/year and he's considered bargain basement labor. I'm not saying it's wrong. It's just incredible!

Don't believe he'll get Evan Turner money from any team. There are a lot of good players out there. Plus, he'll be 30 years old when his new contract begins. Perhaps, he'll be offered a contract for double his current salary for 2 or 3 years.

Then again, if Hayward comes back healthy next season it might cut into his playing time and possibly reduce his future value.
He sure is a lot better than I thought he'd be. He can shoot, rebound and defend. His passing is good, not great. As for dribbling, he doesn't do a lot of it. Tough to say how good his handle is. Hope he has a good stay here in Boston.
