The block of Kaminsky and then to control the ball and his beautiful three from corner-It makes me smile when one of Ainges moves pays a dividend in Brads hands.
Here is a question with NBA training and coaches does Theis have an upside even at his age .

Long arms!
Theis is the least apprechiated Celtic ATM, so TP for the thread Rollie.
Plug and play energy big, that can pass (very good) and shoot some. German work ethic. Always in good spirits.
I think he is much, much better solution overall than Zeller was last year. I also like the cultural diversity he brings too.

I love watching Theis play. He plays so smart and both he and Baynes play the vertical defense so good. What an upgrade we have made in bigs this year. Fantastic job by Danny.

I love the diversity these days went to several mainland Spain tournaments with my sons team and one in Tenerife and the outdoor courts were filled Even saw 3 on 3 game with grey hairs .
I used to joke i was the best 60 yr old basketball player in England-i'm from Boston/Lexington
The weather is so bad for outside basketball and the kids are into soccer but its spreading-
We won in mainland Spain beating italy and lost in Tenerife to either Barcelona or was it real Madrid-but they were really good and the ball didn't stick

What a difference now that we have tough bigs instead of soft ones.

I just wish he'd get some kinda love from refs. It's like he straight up gets picked on for fouls. Plays less than 14 minutes but racks up over 3 fouls a game. Whenever he gets into the game he just kills the flow.

Sure. Players don't usually peak until 28 or 29, and big men often take longer.

Having said that, he'll be more productive as he gets acclimated to the NBA game, which he's in the process of figuring out. As the year goes on he'll do more of what helps the team and less of what hurts it.

He's been ridiculously turnover-prone and foul-prone and should up his production on the defensive board.

Love the feel for help and pressure defense, the deflections and blocks, and he gets more than his share of steals.

doubtful....unless of course you have personally counted them all.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

When you mention diversity, I think of San Antonio and what they have done with foreign players.

Love Theis and the fact that we're fast becoming San Antonio East - from the GM and Coach on down to the players.

he was a nice pickup by ainge. dont understand why more gm's dont pick up foreign role players rather than the usual JAG retreads.

the spurs have been doing it for years.

Like Popovich, Brad has been progressive in keeping starters' minutes down during the season.  In addition to saving them for the playoffs, that gets developmental minutes for bench players and builds team solidarity.  Fortunately for him, Danny has given him outstanding depth to make use of.

SA wins even when their stars sit down. I guess we are on our way? Dunno if I should be happy or sad.

Theis just keeps exceeding expectations and i think he surprises players with that unadvertised wingspan married to a hustling white guy
Tommy said he plays like a first rounder---
It seems more special because coming from a German team and -"THIS IS THE NBA"
