If you read i posted" bust now" not once but twice -as to draft position and hype
a rookie of year that can't shoot to the point he almost never shoots from outside-gimme a break he runaway for Rookie of Year
Hard fall while elevated is having no reard foe potential injury-that foul was not going to end well

For the first 60 or so years of the NBA, nobody cared if a PF could shoot from the outside. Simmons is scoring, rebounding, and passing at an impressive level.  He’s averaging 18 / 10 / 8 as a rookie, and you’re critiquing him?

I'm trying to come up with a football analogy for Simmons, but it's tough.  He's like a quarterback who never misses on the short intermediate routes, audibles perfectly based on the defenses he sees every time, checks down on his receivers when they're covered until he finds the open man, can tuck the ball and run it for plus yards when the situation allows, but he can't hit the deep out, the wide open deep balls, or the over the shoulder passes to WRs.

He keeps moving the chains, and helping his team score points, yet he does have one glaring flaw.

Win a championship and none of that matters though.
Peyton Manning?  Not exactly a guy known for a big arm, but did everything else at an all time great level.

Not that I think this is a good analogy for Simmons, but that would be Alex Smith more than Peyton Manning most likely.
Not sure these analogies are very relevant either way.

Number one the phrase used was BUST NOW and it applied to Ball and Fultz
go listen to stephan smith along with his sources are very concerned Ball is going to be a bust-

Fultz seemed like he had a breakdown,or his agent and coaches totally screwed the pooch

Just read an article where Simmons talked about how much time he spent with coaches and watching film even texting during away games, he stated he was better prepared than he if he had played last season-a year in weight room and rehabbing,he is 21 not 19 like Jayson who is shooting 3 ball at 52% and 83% from foul line-the last game where he was injured skews his stats--Tatum is a true rookie'
Simmons shot 3 three pointers in college made one and six with Sixers this regular season making none.

Kuze said that, lol?

Guess what buddy - the feeling's mutual.

The ONLY reason I want LA relevant is so that we can kick you all's buttocks for the next few years...

I love it. Kuze gets it.

If you mad after last night, Kuze - then

Just way to early to tab 19, 20 and 21 year olds busts, though I guess a 21 year old with 3 years in the league can be considered busts(James Young).

There is just way Fultz, Ball, or even someone like Okafor can be looked at as a bust. Not yet. There's just too much that can still happen that can get them to the paths of being good to great players.

Aside from the ridiculous takes and incoherent writing, did you just make up that Kuzma quote?

Can't find it anywhere else.

Okay. If you labeled Jaylen or AB after 12 games as rookies, though, they would have been “busts” as well. That shows why the label is meaningless.  Nobody expects teenagers to come in and look polished.  Tatum is really impressive in that regard.

I looked too and couldn't find. I doubt Kuzma actually said that because surely more people, especially guys that cover the team, would've been all over it.

In all fairness, Trey Ball is kind of a bust, too.

I saw it and you're taking it out of context since it was on the historic rivalry between the teams. I don't have an issue with it as the way you said didn't offer the proper context. Kuzma also went on to add that Kyrie is great.

“It was good. It’s probably one of the best rivalries in all of sports. We don’t really like them, so it’s going to be a good rivalry going forward.”

Not a rookie in my mind, just a Embiid was NOT one in my mind last year either!  Is Their a rookie?

Smitty77

This gets messy real quick.   Semi Ojeleye played three years in college and is 23 years old.  Is he a rookie?   Abdel Nader was stashed a year in the D/G-League and is 24 years old.  Is he a rookie?   Daniel Theis, as you mentioned, played pro ball in Europe and is 25 years old.  Is he a rookie?  Guerschon Yabusele played pro ball in Europe and then a stash year of pro ball in China and is 22 years old.  Is he a rookie?   All these guys are, of course, older than Simmons (21).

Larry Bird played three years in Indiana St and was 23 in his first year in the NBA.  Was he a 'rookie'?  He won Rookie of the Year in 1979-80.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

2)Randle
3)Kuzma

Hows the hate on semi doing you
He now taking it to the hoop ,much more aggressively and now is immortalized after closing out Smarts no look pass with Irving like spin off the backboard-Guess Brad and team told him to get aggressive on closeouts'..
Did you find it yet eddie20-don't like them -don't really like them- how was that out of context

I think those are all mostly irrelevant when people bring this up. The argument is that having a year of working with NBA trainers, Nutritionists and coaching/practicing, living in a million dollar home or 5 star hotel is completely different than a college student that has strict limits on practice hours, can not receive gifts or food, has to attend and pass enough classes to become eligible, is sleeping in a dorm room or mostly low level house near the university etc... I do think by that same vein that foreign players should not be considered rookies either. It was fairly ridiculous debating what all rookie team 33 year old Pablo prigioni should have made.
