I'm not really concerned if the team names a captain as this is purely a symbolic title in basketball, unlike hockey or football.

But if the team did the obvious answer is Horford. He is easily the calmest, most experienced, and level headed guy of the group, and he's still more than talented enough to have his voice carry weight with the team. When he talks you better listen.

I dislike the idea of naming a captain when no one on the current roster has been there long, but if there had to be a captain, I'd pick Horford, with the same reasoning as KGs Knee above.

I voted Horford as well as he is a veteran and not leaving any time soon. I would have voted Smart but there is no guarantee that he is here after this year. I don't think you can vote a captain from a new player or rookie so that is my reasoning.

I definitely want Marcus Smart here long-term, both he and Rozier. They both look great this year and will just get better. Season previews questioned the Celtics depth this year after all the roster changes, but the bench looks good to me and Rozier and Smart are two big reasons why. How could the luxury tax prevent us from keeping both ?

Horford.  For as much as I dislike Kyrie, it does appear that he's making Horford better.
