What's most amazing about this video is the way in which the players, both seasoned veterans and rookies, listen to CBS and take what he says as gospel. I could watch this type of practice film all day long.

Nice.

I love seeing Smart be vocal in practice. I'm hoping he solidifies himself as a leader on this team.

I get that Hayward wasn't mic'd up but is he a silent leader type? The one clip of him he appeared rather silent. Hope I'm reading too much into this...

In one of his media day press conferences Marcus actually joked that Gardon "barely talks."

But it's not something that worries me. A team needs vocal leaders but it can't have everyone trying to be a vocal leader. I think Hayward is going to be a brilliant #2 man on this team.

Anyone who's followed his career knows he is a very shy man. Not everyone who is good at what they do is a vocal leader. I think leading by example will be Gordon's thing.

Having a 1 or 2 vocal leaders is enough anyways.
ok fine

I actually won't mind if Kyrie becomes the "leader", and really asserts himself.

If things don't go really well this year, we can always trade Kyrie again, insert Rozzy into the starting lineup for '19

Hell yea, got some good NBA coaching this Friday morning

I'll be [dang]ed if anyone tries to post me up again at the YMCA.

Thanks OP for the post and CBS for the tips.

I like Gordon's hair better without the grease.  Shaggy look is more in Celtic tradition too.

I love watching Stevens teach the game.  The respect he has from his players is admirable.  That's hard earned and he earned it so quickly.  Great coach.
