Perceived superstar.  Imagine if Erik Jones only drove half the laps in a race?

The sideshow / spectacle aspect of it brings attention to the franchise, but is there a tipping point? When does basketball take over? Is Kyrie working on his game at all?

As you mentioned in a different thread:

Fultz ... Spends more time promoting chick-fil-a and jbl headphones on social media than working on defense

That criticism might be apt here as well, no?  (Not so much the NASCAR thing as the movies, social media, etc.)

well Fultz hasn't proven himself in the league. Kyrie has proven himself to be arguable a top 10-15 player already. So I'm ok with him doing a sideshow. Fultz is unproven so I'm not sure promoting things while being unproven is meaningful.

Wasn't the criticism that Fultz should be working in his game? Kyrie has some flaws, too. Do you think he's maximizing his off-season filming Uncle Drew?

kyrie didn't do anything to promote NASCAR. They just took the picture from the game. Thread is about NASCAR right? Lol. I get what you saying but I am ok with kyrie doing other things as he has proven himself. I doubt he isn't going to the court Periodically to practice

My Fultz comment was more of a joke. Jokes don't translate well in text. I just find it funny an unproven rookie who could be the next Bennett is already promoting products
