I would have asked you ...what have you been smokin??

What Kyrie Irving means for the Celts...

1.  One of the few all stars that has a won a ring. Only one on the current roster(incl CBS) that has won a ring. Knows what it takes. Leadership on and off the court

2. Is not a defensive liability ... Has good size, athleticism/quickness for a pg. Will make CBS/teammates life easier

3. Locked up for the next 2 seasons. Maybe 3.   Waiving the trade kicker shows money is not everything

4. Has a chip on his shoulders to prove he is not Lebrons pet. Confident he will bring extra against Lebum.

Thank you Danny. Top offseason. What a finish

Nah, I'd rather have 1 year of IT, then sign him to max through his 30s... and a less then 1% chance of getting a player in 2018 that 6 years from now could develop into a Kyrie Irving type talent.

Those two things are better then getting a 25 year champion gold medal all star who hit the most clutch shot in game 7 nba finals history to defeat the greatest team that was ever assembled.

He WILL flourish in Brad Stevens' system as opposed to Tyronn Lue's system. Battle-tested NBA Champion, and plays elite level D against Steph Curry.

This is the year where LeBron James will fall to Boston, and will be the reason why he leaves Cleveland a second time.

You forgot that that 2020 second round pick could turn out to become another IT4.

Some of you guys are going to be disappointed by Kyrie's "leadership" and defense, along with his ability and willingness to pass. I'm guessing that those praising him for such things haven't followed Kyrie's career closely.

I don't think any of us know what role Irving will be asked to play on either offense or defense, and how he will respond.

He's moving to a different team and system. And what's more, he's coming to a team with almost complete roster turnover. We will have exactly one starter back. It's not like he's just getting swapped in for IT in the same lineup.

He's a great scorer and probably has the best handle in the NBA. He's a legit all-star.

But, he's got more flaws to his game than a healthy IT does.

That's not true. You haven't watched IT4 his entire career.

If you're comparing careers up to 25 years old (that's all you can do, right ?), there isn't really anything to compare. Irving is so far ahead of a 25 yr old IT4, it isn't even close. Huge upgrade.

And again, still only 25. He's going to improve even more, and you can bet your bottom dollar Stevens will get it all out of him.

I will not stand for this disrespect of NBA Champion Aron Baynes.

IT is not healthy and there is a chance the injury is going to be chronic, sadly.
