Irving/Smart/Hayward/Morris/Horford.

Instant contenders. This is amazing.

So, the year we win back to back titles, Cavs will get the 59 or 60th pick in draft! haha...

Welcome the Boston Kyrie and a warm thank you for IT and all he did for our team- he will be missed and I wish nothing but the best after he leaves that mess of a team in Ohio.

We got the pick from the zoran dragic salary dump. Pretty cunning of Danny to have get sweeteners whole tanking. Just holding that useless player in a roster spot  allowed us to dump a limping IT for kyrie. Let that sink in

Boston will send its 2020 second-round pick via Miami to Cavaliers to complete the trade, league sources said. Boston would budge no more.

Great article in the ringer that goes deep into what the hell was going on.
Gilbert was calling the shots. Lebron and lue were the ones that cooled on the deal...caused cavs to reconsider

Does Koby Altman get paid by the hour or something? No other reason for this.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Not that I dislike Allen or Bird, but it would have been nice if we could have pushed one of those picks back a draft or two. We could have done without one of them this season.

I understand that 2nd round picks aren't the be-all end-all, but not having one until 2020 and having it be essentially useless - with how good we will be - makes it a little harder to add sweeteners to deals in the future.

I guess that's what our 1st rounders are for.

And Jiří Welsch brought us Kevin Garnett.

I think we still have one left in 2020 our own. Maybe Danny stocks up on those soon lol

Thank God!

And it ended up just being a second round pick. Someone was obviously trying to save face, huh?

What a mess this was, and this whole thing was incredibly sketchy by Cleveland.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Exactly. CLE doesn't come off looking too good. Make a lot of noise and settle for a likely a 41-60 pick 3 years out. Cavs did more damage to themselves by how they handled this.
